I reckon Pfieffer should've come in over Douglas. He was great last weekend and has been consistent in the SANFL. Douglas has had his go this year and it would be great to another player make their debut before the seasons over.

Campbell was no better than Douggie had been playing last week.
Not denying that. I just hate dropping players after only 1 game, particularly their 1st game. How can we see the best of them with a yoyo selection policy.

Freaking Ridiculous. This Is The Last Straw, I've Had It.

Get Stuffed Neil Craig.

See ya wouldnt wanna be ya

I do agree Campell out is surprising. To see Reilly out was no surprise, his replacement was. I would have thought Pfeiffer would have been a like for like replacement.

Though looking at it from another angle, playing Campbell and Pfeiffer and Gill with the mentioned ''under 50 '' gamers and would be going in too light on for experience in a showdown

Ill be there Saturday night

Oh yes, because if we don't we're definitely going to win!

Shirley was finally dropped against Essendon, didn't play at all last week, and yet he's straight back in.

Pfeiffer was BOG for the Redlegs, for the 3rd conseuctive week, and yet it's Douglas who comes back in after an average/good game for Glenelg after he was only out for 1 week?

:D at these changes. :thumbsd:

At least changes are being made to the backbone players that are going nowhere. Two weeks in a row now both Shirley and Doughty’s golden ticket have been handed back. This is a good thing.

If Darren Pfeiffer plays another good game this week, surly he is next in the cue to get a game. Especially if we lose to Port Adelaide and our season is over.

I am with you Drummond, if we lose to Port Adelaide and he played a good game for Norwood and doesn’t get a game. I will be pissed.

I know Campbell was dropped, but there's only one real glaring problem with this weeks team.

That is Jericho >>> Pfeiffer.
Pfeiffer won't play this year.

Next week Rutten and Reilly will be back, so do you think we'll play Pfeiffer too and make another "unnecessary" change?

And anyone who was at the game last week, or who’s been at the past 3 Norwood games, could see Pfeiffer is miles ahead of Jericho, and yet Pfeiffer’s not even in the squad of 25 and Jericho is.

Neil Craig, you and your selection committee are a joke. We’ll be suffering through mediocrity for years thanks to you and your stubborn attitude and inability to develop the youth.

LOL you actually paid attention to that tripe? :D

Want to know how many Power players have played less than 50 games heading into this big Showdown? 10. TEN. And yet they're 3rd on the ladder, we're 12th.

We have 6, not to mention one is almost 25 years of age.

JOKE. COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE.

Your new team...now see ya

I agree, it is best to see kids play 2 or 3 weeks in a row unless they are obviously out of their depth. He seemed to play okay for a 1st gamer.

My guess is NC is just looking at the PAPs and is after some players to do a particular job, sometimes you just can't stick your best 22 in, you have to make sure you have the guys in the side that matchup well against the opposition.

It is a clear sign he is still trying to make the finals rather than just blooding young kids.

Don’t let the door hit you on your arse on the way our then.

Patience is a virtue and Darren Pfeiffer will be a much better player for waiting.

If we lose to the Power Saturday night and he has another good game for Norwood (this week) as well as having a good week on the training track he should get a game.

Once our season is over I would expect any player that needs off season surgery will go in and get it done.

I am frustrated aswell. Why aren't Adelaide coaching panel - who know nothing about football, team selection and player development - listening to Drummond? He clearly knows more than anyone about the inner workings of the football club. The rest of us - who enjoy coming here for a bit of a yarn about footy - have nothing on his awesome knowledge about all things Crows.

Surely they read Big Footy and take his thoughts in to account?

:D :D

What about his love child Richard Douglas? Waits one week before Craigy gives him a recall. What a long wait he had.

You don't think our season is over? Even if it wasn't over, how is playing Pfeiffer throwing away the season?

Just like my opinion on you.

Ouch :( Drummond that hurt.

I think you need to leave the Adelaide board forever. You're obviously no Crows fan, just a Norwood supporter. Every single argument I've had with you has been about Norwood and every single time you get angry at the selections it's because Norwood players aren't picked. Take a look at yourself, Drummo - it's getting out of hand. Seek help

JOKE. COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE.

I will say it one more time, and one more time only. I will even put it in bolded caps for you:

TEAMS LIKE PORT, COLLINGWOOD AND HAWTHORN HAVE 'BLOODED' MORE YOUNG PLAYERS THAN US BECAUSE THEY HAVE STRUGGLED OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. THEY WERE REQUIRED TO PLAY YOUNGSTERS, BECAUSE THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF SHORT TERM SUCCESS IN THOSE SEASONS. OF COURSE THEYRE REAPING THE REWARDS NOW, BECAUSE THEIR YOUNG GUYS HAVE PLAYED 30-ODD GAMES. WE WILL GO THROUGH THAT STAGE NEXT YEAR, AND COME OUT AT THE OTHER END ALL THE BETTER, AND PORT COLLINGWOOD AND HAWTHORN, FALLING OFF THEIR PEAKS THAT THEY WILL EXPERIENCE IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS, WILL BE SAYING "WHY HAVE WE ONLY PLAYED 3 YOUNGSTERS THIS YEAR?!?!?! ADELAIDE HAD PLAYED 10!!!!!".

Basically, what I'm saying is the competition is cyclical, and our time to blood youngsters will come as early as next year.

What about his love child Richard Douglas? Waits one week before Craigy gives him a recall. What a long wait he had.

He was stiff to make way in the first place. Replaced by your own 'love child' Bryce Campbell. Who didn't contribute any more than what Douglas did in the weeks previous.

Douglas is a better long term option than Campbell and seeing as we've all given away the season, and want to see young guys given a go, I can't see a problem with picking Douglas over Campbell.

I'd rather Pfeiffer played over Shirley, but that wasn't the way it went.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the changes. Minus Jericho being on the emergency list. That's the only joke this week.

Do you support the Adelaide FC or Norwood FC?

If you cannot support every single player on our list 100% because they do not play for your precious Norwood, you should just **** off and stop calling yourself a crow’s supporter.

So what Richard Douglas was selected over Darren Pfeiffer – get over it. They play for Adelaide, not Norwood or Sturt or North Adelaide but Adelaide.

If you support this football club, show it if not **** the hell off.

They contributed the same. Douglas had 8 possessions and 4 marks against Fremantle with 88% disposal efficiency. Campbell had EXACTLY the same stats against Essendon, only with a little less game time. So you tell me why Craig would even bother to make this change? He obviously couldn’t go another week without his love child in the team.

Douglas is a better long term option than Campbell and seeing as we've all given away the season, and want to see young guys given a go, I can't see a problem with picking Douglas over Campbell.
So we’ve given away the season, and want to see young guys given a go, so 27 year old Robert Shirley comes in over 19 year old Pfeiffer who is in red hot form?

Overall I'm pretty happy with the changes. Minus Jericho being on the emergency list. That's the only joke this week.
Oh that’s far from being the ONLY joke this week. The whole thing is a joke.

Ahh Drummond youve shown your maturity once again. If you are so enraged about the selections and the coach, go support another club and if you want to whinge about Darren not being selected this week (which I kind of agree with you about) how bout I give you his number and you can talk to him about it in person ??

Im not really that happy with Shirley being back in but the experience is there. Yes Port have a lot of players without it but theyre looking at bringing Wakelin back in for that reason. To debut Darren this week wouldnt do him any good IMO but if he does have another good game this week he'll be playing next week.... when our season may well be over and the pressure is well and truely off.

Wow.... What a time to come in... sorta like walkin into a party just as a couple are havin a massive argie and everyone else is standing there uncomfortably.....

Think they are pretty predictable changes, if we knock off the Alberscum we are back in the race for the eight if not then  we are blooding kids for the rest of the year so of course we were gonna bring in Shirley and Porplyzia

I do think that Campbell was pretty harshly done by but...
