Cotchin was terrific in 2012 and most neutrals voted for him.
Now the Harry Hindsights have come into the thread from some downhill skiing.
Hopefully the addition of Caddy and Prestia can free Cotchin of the 15 players who tag him every week.
Also the umpires give him just a patch of the red carpet they roll out for the other team's midfielders the campaigners.

Lol, 15 players to tag him

It only takes one player to tag Trent and when that happens he tends to have no influence on the match.

He had two games this year in which he did not lay a tackle. Now for a player who's considered to be a hard nosed midfielder, let alone a club captain, I wouldn't have thought that would be acceptable

A very talented player at the surface, but so weak between the ears it isn't funny.

I remember Collingwood players pulling his head off in full view of the umpire and the umpire didn't even budge,he was actually enjoying it,just want Cotchin to have just some of the red carpet other mids in the comp receive but we are Richmond.

I think most agree that Cotchin has immense talent and could be anything, but unfortunately for him I don't think he will reach anywhere near the heights he did in 2012.

This is true, won't ever reach those heights again, but I expect him to improve on recent seasons with more midfield support in Prestia and Caddy.

He can't handle 15 people criticising him is more likely.

I think Cotchin's inability to really hit the scoreboard is his major flaw but that can change.
I was surprised to see he turns 27 in a couple of months time. It's really gone fast but he has had to play in a pretty miserable team and we tend to rate these individuals on how they performed in big games such as finals.

To true Cotchin is not as good an individual player as Danger but a much better Captain than Danger could ever be, hard as nails

Also pretty lucky. Won a brownlow by default and was premiership captain by default as he shouldnt have been playing

Didnt win a Bronlow by default at all he and michell played clean and had the most points, Jobe was on the juice and without that as we have seen before and after 2012 he wouldnt have been in the running.
As for the flag well thats your opinion for me he was going for the ball hit the head with his back not shoulder it is clear on the footage and we dont know which bump caused concussion, correct decision.

By the way the game has been judged this year and his two previous fines he should have been rubbed out.

Nit saying i like the way the rule is applied, but that is a fact

Yeah I still thought he was going for the ball but under the system where you are judged by damage caused over intent he was a little lucky I guess, Brandon Ellis even more so.
