BROWNLOW medallist Jimmy Bartel said the Cats would take on troubled Collingwood forward Alan Didak should the Pies offload him at the end of the season.
GEELONG forward Paul Chapman has put his contract negotiations with the premiership club on hold until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old premiership hero had been in negotiations for a new deal, but has told his manager to hold off on signing a contract until season's end, according to president Frank Costa.
Rumours abound that Geelong and Collingwood will trade their great half fowards at the end of the season. Geelong hierarchy think they will be able to contain Didak's off-field 'enthusiasm' and that his ball getting and goal sneaking abilities will be a great addition to the cat forward line.
Apparently they also believe that the left-footed swooper will provide balance and flexibility to the team - having a HF line with 3 former 'troubled' but talented players will stop the current childish infighting between the Camster and Johno about who is the better team player.
