Can see a yoyo again with hawks and GE
Yarra my tip
WF to be strong

My impression was that GE were relegated due to the fact that 7 of their senior players went overseas and missed 6 games. UHS that won the D3 flag came up from D3 and had no problem. Don't know about Hawthorn but I doubt if GE will be a yo yo.

I agree, GE will be very competitive in D2

They were in a low 19's grade.
Yes that's typical . We are building a sustainable club. The under 19s are in a lower grade as are our seniors unlike the great Ormond. These players will develop and help us move up another division hopefully. If some of those u19 players went to Ormond you wouldn't denigrate them but because they are going to GE you see them as lower grade players. Please worry about your club and stop your obsession with GE.

Well stop stealing players , simple.
Well stop preventing us from having juniors. And don't blame your juniors. They are still your club with your jumpers. And since when are they your players. So any player that comes from the school and chooses to go to other clubs in the area are being stolen from Ormond. Talk about tickets on yourselves.

Is it true that Ormond doesn’t count under 19’s games toward a players club games total? If so, it’s a strange move and one that doesn’t encourage kids to play there.
Sounds like massive sour grapes from Bedford but that’s no surprise from the serial whinger.

I took off what I put on , don't know where you came from.

Honestly the back and forth on this topic is getting boring, surely we can chat more footy in 2019.

Plenty to chat about outside of the Ormond/Glen Eira relationship or lack there of.

How strong will the teams entering the division be... are all four in the top four conversation? If so it should be a very close year and 5-7 wins could see you relegated. That is of course assuming there won't be any team majorly struggling in 2019...

Coaching relationships... St Johns who have former Glen Eira coach Shane Kelly. He'll not only coach against one of his former clubs in Glen Eira but also it looks like a former member of his coaching staff in David Matthews (himself a former Gryphon and Bulleen Temp member)

Brunswick NOBS
Ivanhoe
Whitefriars
Yarra OG
MHSOB
Bulleen Templestowe
St Johns
Power House
Glen Eira
Hawthorn

Dave Matthews will be coaching PH. Ivanhoe might struggle again , but Brunswick with the name change and embracing of the juniors should start going better in the next few years. Fair bit of travel for your mob.

Phantom, really interesting comments coming out of an Ormond head in Bedford, it must an inherent thing at the Gun as they are well known for trying to poach kids in cricket as well then offering up excuses and denials when questioned.

What a strange post , Ormond footy have nothing to do with what the cricket club do , but I would agree about them poaching kids.

Another interesting coaching link in D2 in 2018 is Brunswick's senior Coach Anthony Palmer. He took Bulleen Temp to its D2 senior premiership win against Prahran in 2012. Ripper coach and from all accounts is doing a solid job with some good kids at NOBs. Knows a fair bit about all the clubs in the division - infact would have a decent handle on most ammo clubs.

Bahahahah. Cannot wait to bump this. Ivanhoe were struggling last year wait until this goes pear shaped.

Trust me I said the same thing to powelltown and he lasted less than half a season.
