At the game today there was some clown sitting behind me.

After the win today as TNT was playing, he looked up and saw the "FRE... MAN... TLE" on the big screen. He went on about how it was "The lamest thing I've ever seen" and how embarrassing it was.

Now, I'm not a big fan of the whole "FRE... MAN... TLE" idea. To me, it just reeks of a corporation trying to be hip.

HOWEVER

Have people already forgotten the old "GO! EAGLES GO! S! G! I! O!"?

From what I've seen it is nothing more than a something for the Club and it's supporters. No one seems to be getting paid, no advertising logos just pure Freo.

I can handle that.

If they ever went the .....sgio...bit i reckon I'd vomit.

I think it highlights more of the difference of our family Club.

I hate the FRE-MAN-TLE bit on the scoreboard.

Just play TNT and honour a Fremantle boy at the game. It reeks of the grown ups trying to work out what is cool and embarrasing the children.

I had a loud WC fan behind me but he was quiet by quarter time.

To be honest, I was pretty impressed by the amount of WC supporters that stayed and clapped Shaun off. I think a lot of respect was shown by them yesterday.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, told to me by a source at the club when they first started playing TNT - that the FRE-MAN-TLE was a CC brainchild.

They obviously picked it up and ran with it after he left.

FRE-MAN-TLE is fine. A bit of fun, nothing serious, nothing to get wound up about, get over it.
If you want to vent your spleen at anything then go to town on the anchor raising palava before the game. That's just plain silly. On par with Angry Anderson driving around the boundary on grand final day a while back, except we persist with it every home game, year after year.

I also don't mind either way,at least they're trying non commercial ideas(as you say) unlike that dam annoying SGIO.
Do they have the system up louder when that stuff comes on at the weavils games or is it just me.
