Did Brisbane field a strong side?
Interesting to see contrasting views of Skipper's play.
How did Bandy go?
McGuiness? Harris?

Overall a good day for the coach and the team.
Rohde got his match-ups right and Lethal was constantly changing his line up.
Wiggins provided a good target up forward and our new look forward line with Harro as a third tall worked well. Brown and Garlick did a great job as crumbing and leading smalls
Our defence was solid and Grant, Bassett, Robbins, Smith and Kretiuk all worked hard.
Darcy was effective without dominating although the wind conditions played their part.
Enjoyed the day

Thoughts on Bassett?
From what I saw I think we have got ourselves a very handy backman. Was very good in the contests and won the loose ball. He was a bit slow to react a few times on Lynch I think it was but Brisbanes delivery into the forward line was pretty good so it would've been very difficult for him.
I can see him playing FB /BP regularly this year. As much as I love The Ugg Boot I think this bloke may be a tad more effective in the backline.

Didn't think Eagleton was that bad.
Didn't think we played the conditions that well against the wind. Too many short passes, handballs in the back line and kicks to Brisbanes offensive side of the ground.
Will report on Ressies later
For me Boyd was our best but Bees didn't play well.

McGuiness, honestly coudlnt tell you if he played
Harris, saw him on the interchange, but cant remember if he went on and got a touch.

I don't think McGuiness played.
Both Harris and Bruton played for Werribee(on and off the field) then sat on the interchange bench for the whole of the Doggies game
