Word is jack's head swelled up close to double its normal size. He has had recurring headaches and shakiness since the accident. Dont be surprised if he doesn't come back to the same level. Also worth noting for those who were wondering why jack didn't have quite the season this year as he did in 09 a large part of it was due to OP.
If Jack is there available at 26 I wouldn't be suprised if we bypassed him for a luke Mitchell instead.

I keep hearing his head injury was worst than reported, hopefully he comes good soon and it doesn't effect his footy, he will probaly wear a helmet next year.
What to do?

The recruiters will know the situation. Im actaully of the opinion we need a young KPF rather than a defender, althought that may be due to my high rating of Mark Austin.

Think we should consider Myles Sewell for a late pick, mainly as depth, but also someone who could win a spot in the seniors early in the year.

I agree. We need KPP depth, but we don't need to worry about specific positions given the flexibility of Waite, White, Austin and the rucks that can go forward. A true CHB would be nice but they just don't grow on trees and usually take a while to develop. Having said that a nice fill in option to develop would be Kyle Hartigan, played VFL this year with Werribee, here is his profile from last years draft. Hartigan isn't even a mature ager, his draft year was last year so he would be the same age as the majority of the young boys

Sewell would be a good pick up as depth in case Mclean gets injured as he is our only AFL-ready inside mid.

He is gunna hate that sin the sun shines in WA we dont need spray ons like you anemic Vics:D, seriously this kid can play.

Sun shines here too. As a matter of fact sometimes it is hotter here than there. Just saying

I adopted Claremont when I moved here. Living in Cottesloe and for the other obvious reason:

You have great taste Mal,also responsible for alot of Carlton recruits over the years including the great Kenny Hunter who was the reason i supported the mighty Blues.

I'd rather go for Michael Hibberd before Sewell.

Surprised he hasn't been mentioned more...what's the downside with this guy? From everything thats been written he's quick, hard as a cat's head and good by hand and foot.

Anyone in the know think he might still be around at out fourth or fifth pick?

Reminds me of a young Leigh Brown... :)
You should have seen him whn he first went to Freo.... maybe the kicking is abit better...... but im thinking Leigh Brown...
I think you've actually stumbled onto something with your negativity towards Watson with that comparison. Move Kreuzer and Hampson to CHF & FF beside Henderson , Warnock to number one ruck, Waite to the backline and Watson to the Leigh Brown-spud around the ground role. With Watson's cannon for a leg, no opposition ruckman could stop him if he gets the ball and kicks it inside 50.

It's so crazy, your idea just might work.

Best ironic idea since Alfred Nobel studied the safe manufacture and use of nitroglycerine.

A shame about the part where Nobel blew up five people including his brother as the true cost of inventing dynamite and gelignite.

At least we got the Nobel Peace Prize as the silver lining.

This cunning plan could have a similar result.

You're a visionary.

you sound like you know what youre talking about.........

......... and you give the approval for other peoples ideas...

keep up the good work General....

you have a good eye.....:thumbsu::thumbsu::D

... your anal aysis is brilliant the way you share it around....

Which is ridiculous. If he doesn't at least get a Rookie spot, then he should go on a killing spree of epic proportions.

In the nicest way possible.

If we take Watson, a sliding mid like Hallahan or maybe Horlin Smith , Chalwell/short shorts Litherland and Hibberd it may be enough to supress the Vettel induced killing spree currently brewing inside me.

F1 and smarmy Germans...it'll never work
