For Rendell, every draft is a super draft; he always gets the players he ranks highly.

Is there a reason Emma Quayle doesn't have a job at a club yet?

Is she 'great' at talent spotting? Maybe? Not sure.

She obviously has great inside knowledge from her contacts in the recruiter world.

Great reporter though, I do like her coverage of all things draft and draftees.

LOL he never fails, just certain players fail to deliver?

Also, reading the small rundown on afl.com.au , I noticed this guy who I hadn't heard of before:

If he slips to our second round pick, I wouldn't mind the sounds of him! Big bodied midfielder yeahhhh. (or maybe I just think he has one of the best names ever)

Can Mr Pepperoni kick? We should be prioritizing good kicks over athletic project players at the moment.

I can't help but feel cheated that Melbourne will have 5 top 30 picks, and potentially picks 1, 2 and Viney. Doesn't quite seem fair.

Hasn't helped Melbourne too much though has it.

Development of players is the key and I think that's where the extra $$$$ make a difference and also why we possibly have been caught out.

melbourne dont have enough good established senior talent.

no matter how many 1st round picks you put into a side if the majority of the 23-30 yr olds that should make up the core of your side arent there or are duds you will suck. you will suck and your talent will look pretty sucky.

its one of the things we have struggled with, not to melbournes extent of course.

what melbourne dont need is more charity picks thrown in. they need time and experience into the good kids they have, to find which of the kids can make it and which to discard, and to find more talent as they go.

cant wait to see what the champs unearth.

good to hear mayes is an elite kicker of the ball, we need that. question everyone has is he a hff or can he play as a winger??? if he can and has some very good speed he could be one to consider. also needs to show in these champs if he can rack up big numbers finding the ball, that would help his case.

toumpas would be right at the top of our wishlist ild imagine.

i expect grundy will yet again stamp himself on the champs, the rucks he will have to compete against dont look anywhere near him. if he can push for selection by gws than that drops another elite midfielder down a spot. go grundy!!!!!!:)

im not sure vlastuin will be the guy for us. sounds like a very capable footballer, but we need footskills, pace and ballwinning where vlast is described as a bull with smart reliable disposal. not really fast not a high hurt factor but safe reliable ballwinning leader, which sounds good i wont be sad to get him i just think we need pace and great kicks. at this early stage im gonna peg us for toumpas/ simpson/ mayes in that order of preference ( of what i think we will go for with our first pick).

im assuming lachie doesnt get to us and will renew my interest in stringer when he plays one game outside the forward 50 after that leg injury. sure he can kick 10 goals on amatuers on one leg, i dont see that happening in the afl.

I want a player who is a clearance machine. And with good disposal.

I like the sound of vlastin. Sounds like a pure in and under player who can use it. That's exactly what we need

Emma is so good because she has contacts within recruiting, who give her correct information. I actually think he knowledge of the draftees herself is no beeter than a Knightmare or a Chris32.
