I'm not writing him off a spud, just calling for a tiny, tiny amount of perspective.

I think I'm with you on that. He's definitely got a lot to prove to both the coaching staff and supporters. I'd just be disappointed if we gave up on him this early, unless we were getting something pretty significant in return.

Don't think we need to pick up another outside midfielder yes it would be nice to pick up Martin or draft Gartlett but I would be happy to get some game time into the likes of Cunningham, Lamb and Jack next year.

If we lose Mumford I wouldn't be against going at Lycett from West Coast, he would easily be worth our second round pick.

I don't think West Coast would be willing to trade Lycett. He's been at the club for years just being developed as a ready-made replacement for Cox, and it will likely be Cox's last year next year.

Small forward : dayle garlett ( draft)
Key defender: pears, Mitch brown( Geelong), Adams ( gws) Joel Tippett ( draft)
Classy player that can play fwd, mid and def : yarran

Those are the players that I think could help fill some areas in the team

what about jeremy laidler, or pat McCarthy?they're two good prospects from carlton.

Jed Lamb would be close to the most overrated player in the AFL. He is a 3rd year midfielder averaging 10 disposals. Lets keep the hype under control.

I agree, he showed a bit, but given where we got him in the draft its no more than the least he should of done by now

Maybe he should of had more chances, but as players rampe show if you are good enough you get games

You clearly have no idea he has started half his games as the sub!

Is lamb uncontracted?i have heard essendon is keen and chasing.

Not being rude, but what do Essendon have to offer? No picks and players under a cloud.

He has similar value to Elliott Kavanagh. Similar number in the draft, limited games due to injury, shown talent when he has played. So whatever you feel would be a fair swap for Elliott.

Fair call I think you will find they will acquire a 2nd rd pick from the bulldogs as part of the crameri deal - that is currently #22. From what i understand lamb was drafted at #21.

Seems reasonable given our probable need for cap space. If Lamb wants to go home, could work. But wouldn't Essendon be keen to keep any early-ish picks they can get?
