Personally i am pretty disapointed with the swans final selection in Heath James considering Grundy and Kirkby was still avaliable. Also disapointed in Pods not being selected from what ive heard and read he is a talent and is worthy of another oppotunity. Has anybody heard of the swans rookie list and Earl Shaw ans Ed Clarke as i believe both deserved to be drafted and would secure the future of the Swans Nsw contingent. Come on guys start posting and have some passion about the swannies. Next year ive decided that after every game i will reveiw each player and rate them out of ten lets start getting serious guys

Grundy and Kirkby both had question marks over them (Kirkby in particular) so i guess we'll just have to see whether we made the right choice sticking with Heath

As for Clarke and Shaw, assuming they are not taken in the PSD which is the likely scenario, the Swans will be able to list them prior to the rookie draft as NSW players. So relax Occy i'm pretty sure that they'll both be with the Swans next year and we didn't have to use any of our draft choices :)

And Heath doesn't have question marks over his head? Look at how many hamstring injuries he's had.

well if they dont make it through the psd which is highly unlikely i have a reason to be angry then :D however is there a chance we will rookie Pods i think he is too old to be rookie isnt he???

Kirkby put in a poor draft camp performance and whilst he was originally high on some clubs draft wish lists, he quickly dropped off the radar.
Grundy just didn't display the athleticism required for a player that is 190cm but he is a good footballer that hopefully will be picked up on a rookie list.

So the swans wont get Pods anymore? and also how long are rookies contracted for minimum of two or one year? and finally how many rookies can we take and how many will we take
