selwood #1 tag, chapman #2? and a half forward tag on enright?

Agree.

Has there been any talk of a possible move into the midfield for enright or is he still going to be playing half back??

With Ablett gone, Woji on his last legs. Varcoe, Enright, Chapman would be the best candidates to get increased midfield time. Maybe they dont rate Mackie, T.Hunt, J.Hunt, Kelly to set up attack across halfback. Also the loss of Ladiler may have hurt his chances of increased midfield time.

I cant see Enright getting tagged any more than what he did last year, nothing has changed. He didnt handle it in some games but he also showed he could handle it late in the year rounds 19 and 21 scoring both above 100.

Have definitely been whispers of Enright getting midfield time. Regardless of whether or not he does, a more defensive style of play will hopefully see him pick up cheap kick-mark points across halfback.

Do you have a source or just whispers from the cattery board.

Cats board and general opinion after GAJ left a hole there (also likely to be filled partly by SJ).

Well yeah, i thought of it because, before GAZ was this superhuman player Enright use to play that sweeping role\quarterback role that GAZ played. Although Gaz could play any role, he mostly swept and received alot of handballs.

I remember reading O'Keefe was having an interrupted preseason. I've googled and searched BigFooty but I can't find anything. Anyone got a link?

Ive posted this before, but really struggled in second half of 2010 with his groin. Limited his capabilites to push into the middle (let alone play predominantly there as he had in 2009) and even kick through the footy (barely made 45m late in the year when normally he is solid from 55m). Had surgery on it pretty much immediately after the season which has limited his preseason. Had mainly been on a modified program and ballwork up until a couple of weeks into this month and has been steadily increasing his workload over the last 2-3 weeks. Sure he might be in full training now (not sure on this - but Ill take the above posters word), but November/December is when that real fitness base is developed. One advantage for him, is that he is already elite with his endurance, so he should hold it pretty well. The big disadvantage is that there is no rush - youngsters in Jack, Kennedy, Hanneberry and the usual suspects of McVeigh, Bolton, Goodes mean there is absolutely no rush for him to get into the midfield. I expect to see him playing HF (maybe even CHF) early in 2011 before becoming more of that man who works up the ground (as he used to) when the talls go forward for a rest (due to the new sub rules) before then going into a more dominant midfield role. These are my thoughts and projections though so value them as you wish.

I've noticed Boomer Harvey has a break even of 4 less than Didak yet Harvey is valued at around $17k less. Didak has had little to no preseason after his major shoulder surgery.

I reckon Harvey is a great pick, and on top of that, you can use that extra $17k elsewhere

What do you mean by breakeven?

None of these guys have "breakevens" yet.

The difference is purely the magic no. which is a reflection of their avg over the entire last season (if no discounts due to injuries etc.).

Technically if all players got the exact same average as last season and you filled your team with these guys, everyone would score the exact same weekly score. But we have rookies, and players form goes up and down etc. etc. etc.

What do people think of Higgins? Too risky?

If you pick him, make sure the rest of your fwds don't have durability issues. As an entire fwd line of undurable players is setting yourself up for misery. However taking 1 or 2 usually works fine.

Marlon Motlop a smokey this year? about to breakout.... put on some size, new coach, new direction = DT value?
