should be for the coach that has done best with what he has, not the best team on the park, geez anyone could coach some teams that win a flag, winning a flag is more about the $$ not the coach in alot of cases

I think coach of the year should go to premiership team because to win a premiership is near impossible these days unless you have a good run with injuries and managing the players and I think rogers done a magnificent job with apw only losing one game.it be silly to give it to someone who’s team only won 3 games that’s my opinion.
Last season if EK won the flag after spending 200k more than the next team would you suggest that Pat was the "coach of the year?"....

Not sure it’s that big a loss for Roxy with regards to moving forward imo. Both players are at the end of there careers and a drop in grade will suit them and prolong there senior footy and give them a bit of extra $$. Good pick up for Taylor’s lakes through there friendship with the new coach. Good luck to both players as been good servants in the EDFL especially Patane.
Thought that Hadfield might have tried to get them back but Taylor’s win.

Yep agree with certain sides, namely EK. There are some good candidates this year with rupo wc apw and maybe a couple others.
I can tell a lot of posters on here have never won a premiership, so your saying the team does not deserve there premiership either, Winning COTY is also about the line coaches trainers water boys committee the whole box and dice that’s why you give it to the premiership coach

No disagree. You are drawing a long bow including line coaches, trainers and water boys for COTY. It’s not Football Club of the Year Award, it’s singular.
But I believe the COTY should always be considered after final series where tactics pressure and game plan are at their highest.
There’s 3 COTY only one club of the year, luckily the coaches pick COTY not you

He has been telling clubs that he is not going to meet with clubs until the season is over, because he only wants to concentrate on helping Sunbury stay up. I know my club is one of them that is wanting to meet with him . He would not go against what he is telling clubs. He is not like that.
