That could be true maybe each one of them has played in the 18 A Grade flags!!!!!!

17 of Keilors 21 players that played on the weekend played juniors at the club. Do any other clubs have such a high ratio? Interested to find out

Avondale Heights would have a very high ratio, prehaps not as much as Keilor's in the ones, but overall it would be in the top 2 or 3. Id say maybe 10 to 12 players would have played juniors there.

Who would be the CHF from Glenroy comtemplating a move to Mt. Pleasant in the Heathcote DFL prior to clearances closing? Word has it he trained up there tonight

east keilor should win... ive watched them play the last 2 weeks and ive also watched KP a couple of weeks prior to the break. and i would have to say East Keilor have Raw home grown talent, in players such as Lee Gilbert(c), Alex Isolivic, Tristan Kassis. All these players are hungry for it and can produce anything if they all put it together on the same day.

Pretty sure two of those three players mentioned are not home grown players. Alex only arrived this year and Lee a couple of season ago I believe, even though he is already captain.

If they can get a full side on the park they will be a very good chance against Keilor Park, because their side has significantly improved compared to the start of the season. However, if they lose, the club will really be in trouble next year in B Grade as a lot of the players wll either leave or retire.

Maybe one of the East Keilor boys can fill us in a bit more.

He played juniors there but only for 18s and a year of 16s i think. You could argue the same case at keilor with Cooper if thats the case.

That is why the strathmores and greenvales and even douttas will have there ups and downs, but keilor will always go strong every season because they actually give the talented youngsters who've been with the club most of there life a go and in turn most usually stay on for at least a few years at least or if not, come back after stints in the VFL or ammo's etc.

yes i agree with your comments but i can tell you know that Douttas Junior program has improved over the last 4 years and they will see the fruits of this in the coming 2 to 3 years.
Currently juniors who are playing 1s or have played this year

Ryan Moore
Anthony Nicolo
Ben Weston
Jeremy Laidler
Sam Tankard
Paul Clemente
Steve Canatelli
Paul Docherty

Take out Paul and Sam and the rest are under 21

And 4 kids from the reserves and U18s are on the verge of playing.

The trick with the imports are how long they hang around..
I wonder how many will be there at strathmore when the cash runs out at the end of the year.. :) :thumbsu:

Adam Dalton Ive been told it is - John Taylor was also appoached but has too much on at work he told me, although $500 is attractive I reckon. Many VCFL clubs are keen to grab Tails, I for one would call him I was looking to top off a ready to go list

Spot on - Dalts is off to Mt. Pleasant. Confirmed last night by a few of the boys at Glenroy training.

Dalton named in Mounts side 2morrow - Peter Krueger who plays at Maribyrnong Park was contacted by Mick Carbone from Mounts who urgently wanted a Big Forward to heighten their chances of back to back flags - huge $$$ too apparently

Is Dalton the bloke that Glenroy had all off the fundraising days and nights for?

Not much of a list there Bricksta. Take out the 2 old blokes and theres 6 who might have played a game or the cast of thousands on the "verge" of playing. They might be "verging" for a while I'd say. No hope for them with the money men lining up. Wonder how many of the big money men will be there next year when the cash fades.

does anyone know where edfl man is, maybe he has to do some work for once.
The great man has hung up the boots on this forum 4 the time being too much garbage going on in here so has called it quits for now bit of a pity as the bloke is about the one out of a select few that makes sense on here and knows what hes talking about ah well

bricksta you could also add monty, and jesse uren to that list.

At greenvale there are quite a few juniors that have played a senior game this year: j. kent, c. burns, d.burns, rohan, karabadjak, lenne, hutchinson, disipio, stefanac, caparello.

Additionally there will be two more added to the list this saturday against oak park, due to an injury ravaged g/vale outfit. Also there are two more greenvale locals that will play in the senior side by the end of the year, one overseas and the other has been injured.

Still most clubs are a far way off keilor, in giving their kids a fair go.

it is a shame to see him go. I thought that he may have got a job, one that didnt allow him to make 20 posts a day on bigfooty. You would be surprised at the knowlegable people that view this site d-mac, just cause they dont post all available info doesnt mean they dont know it. I know some cracking edfl rumours, but self interest and being told them in confidential circumstances keeps them off this website.
