Had some good mail that Haynes and Bullen - part of the Essendon quartet at Silvan (other two being Hennemen & Moorcroft) - won't be cited at Marbi next year as they are on two year deals that doubt could be matched.

Money and employment big factors.

I know its been mentioned on this site before but does anyone else that its pathetic that Kevin Donnelly’s idea of recruiting is just to call every player from one particular side and attempt to tear them apart?

Last year it was Strathmore juniors to the point were they told KD they wouldn’t be supporting any of his media processes and this year it is the Greenvale ressies team. Doesn’t he have any better players to steal than juniors from another club. Really KD you need to get some or your own players. You calling everyone from one team just hurts that club and the league.

KD you are truly a wank and Airport West would be better suited chasing some higher profile players from a higher level or a different league.

yeah it seems to be going well for the edfl. two of the biggest clubs want to punch his head in. there is no point recruiting the player they are not going to help you win anything and all it does is lower the overall opinion of the league which he is trying to improve.

In terms of doing what he has to for his team good luck to him. He is trying to make his team more successful so you would go to any lengths to do that.

I would think KD is smart enough to not rub his opposition's feathers but having said that why would he not do whatever it takes to get the best possible players needed to take APW to the next level. The Eagles are on track to play a big part in the B grade competition in 2008.

the 2 boys mentioned are like all of us looking to be successful and play finals footy, i do believe they are playing at cooper st next year but might be waiting to see who the new recruits are, maybe the club should let them move on to free up some $$$$$$. for mine they are a must keep.

Poor old Strathmore & Greenvale, gee life must be tough at the top. Imagine the clubs that foster the current culture of players leaving at the drop of the hat for a better offer elsewhere complaining when it happens to them. If they want to keep the players match the offer/opportunities or don't whinge when they walk.

couldnt agree more......maybe a salary cap would be a good idea in the edfl...to make the comp more even?? wouldnt affect clubs in b grade as much but would help to reduce domination of the league by clubs such as greenvale strathmore and also in the nfl with heidleberg bundoora and northcote park

Joey is right for next year,dont know about Ricky yet but should be their.Liem turner wants to go back to West Meodows but has already sign on at douttas.West might have to pay a fee now to get him.

The Eagles were meant to play a big part in 2007 B Grade competition, but where no were to be seen during the finals, of course they were there watching.
