My tips this week

Paco easily over Avondale - 40 points. Too much class at Paco and Avondale depth a real worry
Abers in a close over the Mores - 15 points. Give Strathmore a chance after they bounced back last week.
Keilor by 150 over Airport West.
GV just over Marby - a Marby win wouldn't surprise with a few key outs at the Jets. Just cant tip against GV though this week
Douttas in a clsoe one over WC. Shore reserve will be tough for Douttas to play on but think they've got enough class to get them over the line a tight one

Hey Johndoe, did you copy my tips? Only kidding, but people are going to accuse me again of having another aliase account. Lol

Keilor by 200 over Airport West
If Eds put 204 on the board Galea might kick 12+ and Keilor will just destroy them. And give 230+ a nudge in the process.

Aberfeldie by 42 over strathmore.
Way to much class and skill! To much contested power through the middle which will dictate the traffic of the game.

Greenvale by 66 over Marby
Simply too good the jets Marby lack of depth a real worry.

Pascoe Vale by 21 points over Avondale
Pascoe Vales top end players will get this done. Avondale just not strong enough.

Douttas by 15 points over West Coburg
Such a tough ground to play. Wests are playing well and at home couldn't pinch it. Douttas need to win matches like this if they want to be a good side.

Paco by 2-3goals over AH
Abers by 30pts over Smore
Keilor.. Unfortunately this will probably be ugly.
Greenvale by 20pts
EDS by 12pts over WC

I must say the EDFL have assembled an excellent U18.5 rep side.

PV by 28
Abers by 48
Keilor by 214
Greenvale by 16
Douttas by 10

EDFL premier is a great league but having a bottom team that is uncompetitive by over 20-30+ goals each week is embrassing for the EDFL. Why didn't the club or league step in earlier. People are paid to perform roles so step up and show courage as its a big blight on our league that this is happening in premier league..

Turbo this is what i heard pre-season. APW were expecting an 80+ goal season from Cupido and had kept all other recruits quiet.
Thought they were going ok. Not sure how the league can police how competitive each club is going to be.
In February everyone is fit and flying and clubs think they've recruited enough quality players to have a decent side. Facts are you don't find out how good you are until the real stuff kicks off in May.

WOW - If thats what Airport West really thought they were definitely looking through rose coloured glasses

95% of people within the league tipped them to finish last. No one in their right mind would have thought Cupido would kick 80 goals in this comp for Airport West

See he kicked 10 for Bacchus, they won by plenty though. Obviously not great opposition.

This happens most years in the premier division around the state because the spending is out of control on players & clubs can't compete with the big spending clubs over a long period of time without success, hard working volunteer around the club find it to hard to raise the money to compete with these top clubs & what's more embarrassing for the league is when the premier clubs struggle to put out a 2nds team each week and to be honest after 2017 once crazyburn comes up as everyone expects them to who will be next in line to come up and add another $100k to their playing budget to just be competitive in premier division.

All fair replies to the question. I just think it needs to be looked at as something that can maybe improve in future seasons. Something like a pre season review with clubs and the league.
I can see results v APW ranging up to 30 goals. That's just not good. I do see APW under 18s are going ok which is a positive sign, but the reserves are struggling for numbers.

Milkman- you also have valid points. It would be interesting to see if there situation is due to not having enough $$ or more around there decisions on coaching appointment and recruiting.

Could EDS repeat their premiership from late 90's?? Win B Grade then win A Grade the very next year??
Doubt it, although they have adjusted to A grade extremely well and would be favourites to finish 4th. Abers, Keilor and and Greenvale appear a cut above the rest this season.

In 1999 under the legendary Harro, Douttas overcame AVH by 2 points in the 2nd semi, and beat APW comfortably in the GF. Ironically those 2 haven't won a game so far this season.

If WC beat EDS, would they then be favourites to finish 4th? The winner of tomorrow's game will be 4th...

I'll defer to more knowledgeable heads on this one but they're fielding a pretty talented side so they'd have to be some sort of chance.
From talking to a few people from in this comp the consensus seems to be that their runners could be particularly dangerous on a large ground come finals time.

Nice try Subway. Maybe temporarily. West Coburg are going along very well at the moment and will trouble if not beat most teams. If they beat Douttas at Shore reserve, which is on the cards, I would think Douttas will return the favour later in the season when they play at home.

Nothing wrong ? There is a synthetic cricket pitch in the centre of the ground and the synthetic from the cricket nets lead into the foward pocket opposite club room ends.
There is nothing wrong with Shore Reserve. Its a bit narrow but its longer than you think and there was certainly no issue finding space in the last quarter against avondale. Brings a different dimension to the games, its one of the charms of local football that you have to adapt to different conditions not like the AFL where everything is pristine. It beggers belief that we have had no rain for months, and yet City oval a council facility is deemed not up to scratch by AFL VIC. SInce when did they start paying rates to maintain the facility? It was perfect for the Marby game three weeks ago. How did it get so bad in a couple of weeks?

mate come on, this is genuinely fanciful thinking at best, taking the piss at worst.
By what means and on what criteria would any league review how every club is training in February and what would they do to fix it? fact is APW have dug there own grave and now they are suffering the consequences. Someone has to be be the worst its just a fact of life and this season its APW

Coming from Rumbulara in the Murray League off 70 goals in 2015 he was always going to struggle in the much higher quality EDFL premier league. His last strong year in a relatively comparable league was about 80 for North Albury in the O&M footy league about 5 rears ago.
