Magnificent run by Johnson, squares it beautifully for N'Gog but the ball bounced up a bit and instead of a certain goal he smashes it into the bar.

El Zhar for Benayoun. Well doesn't that just scream win.

**** sounds like Bullard's knee again.

I noticed he went off after 18 minutes and was hoping it wasn't a knee. :(

Wolves are up 2-0 which at least sends Pompey back to their rightful place on the bottom of the table.

You've got to worry when your creative force is playing as a right back. Apart from Johnson and flashes from Gerrard, we haven't created anything here. A lot more huffing and puffing in the second half but very few moments of quality.

And we almost go and lose it in stoppage time, with Kalinic panicking under pressure from a charging Reina. 0-0 it finishes.

Boy did we need three points to steady the ship. Hopefully we can go to Anfield now with some confidence and flog the s**t out of a woeful Liverpool!!!:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Absolutely embarrising.

That's 12 goals we've conceeded in 3 games now.

We couldn't stop an under 9's Girl's team from scoring against us ATM.

Shows how dependent West Ham have become on Carlton Cole, and we could easily be bottom by January since he ain't going to play for the rest of the month.

As for the defence, what the hell have the full back's been doing, at least 5 goals have come from low simple crosses outside the box with no pressure on whoever is crossing it in.

Danny Gabbidon is not a premier leauge capable central defender (go back to Cardiff you flog), while James Tomkins is still a baby, and whole he shows promise, he needs Matthew Upson next to him.

Radoslav Kovac, you're even worse than Mark Noble. Worse $3M this club has spent in the past 10 years.

And Zola, you should be on thin ice, but you've got a 4 year contract so you won't be going anywhere with our financial situation.

You spend $6M on a striker, and have him play as a super-sub, while you sell the heart and soul of the club for $5M, and we haven't kept a clean sheet yet. And why the ####, did you not take Zavon Hines off, and allow Man Utd to score just before half time against basically 10 men. Instead, we'll just ring a ring a rosie with our midfielders and defence, and see how many fu##in 4-5m passes we can string around to each other, because THAT"S THE WEST HAM WAY!!!!!!!!

Am starting to believe our position of 9th last season was nothing more than a fluke.

He's been poor this season and I'll be surprised if he's not wearing an Oldham shirt next year, but that was a moment of real class from Scholes.

Chelsea team mid week was:

Hilario, Beletti, Ivanovic, Ferriera, Zhirkov, Ballack, Deco, Mikel, Cole, Kalou , Malouda

so i tihnk most of the 'big players' would have been rested mid week. Man City played pretty much a full string side mid week against Arsenal.

so 'fresh legs' factor could come into play.
