Deletes your save file?

No...its just the end of the game, you can't go on...its finished.

Your last save before you begin the last mission will still be there of course if you want to go back.

Some good Fallout 3 announcements today, especially for Australians looking to get their hands on FO3.

According to the new Atari Australia release schedule, Fallout 3 is getting a re-release in Australia on May 21. .

This comes after the game’s original distributor Red Ant went bust in January this year. Since then, copies of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG have been hard to come by on retail shelves around the country.

It now appears as if Atari has picked up the slack, signing a deal with Bethesda to bring Fallout 3 back to Australia from next month. When contacted Atari wouldn’t comment on whether this was a one-off deal for Fallout 3 or if they would also be handling all future Bethesda releases.

Atari isn’t just re-releasing Fallout 3 in Australia. They’re also releasing something called the Fallout 3: Quest Pack 1 in June.

The new Atari Australia release schedule lists the Fallout 3: Quest Pack 1 as going on sale June 4. But what is it?

Of course, Bethesda hasn’t announced a Fallout 3: Quest Pack 1. And when we quizzed Atari this morning, they told us we’d have to wait for the official press release.

So, what do we know:

1. It’s only listed for Xbox 360 and PC, the two formats Bethesda chose to bless with Fallout 3 DLC
2. June 4 is about a month after the 3rd DLC episode (Broken Steel) will be released

Educated guess? The Quest Pack 1 is a retail disc compilation of the three DLC episodes, Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel. Given the DLC price points of 800 Microsoft Points each, we’d also guess the Pack will retail for about $40.

We’ll see how good our guesses are when Atari/Bethesda get round to issuing that official press release.

According to product listings on Amazon’s UK site, Fallout 3’s “The Pitt” and “Operation Anchorage” will soon be packaged together and sold at retail.

The packs will be available for both 360 and PC, and are currently slated to appear in late May. You will of course require a copy of Fallout 3 to be able to play these expansions.

No official US pricing as of yet, but the bundle will be 15 quid in the UK (which is USD$22).

Can we talk about fallout more So obsessed with the game ay haha Who has finished Broken Steel? If so I wanna ask a few questions, I recommend it, probably the longest of the 3 DLC's Pitt has the best storyline but overall I like Broken Steel the best (so much stuff to get and one word....reamer).

Need some more music though as much as I love the soundtrack (got it ) It's getting quite repetitive.

Latest patch has ****ed the game. I nearly always crashes on saves. Many people are having this problem.

At least you guys have the option for the expansions. Bloody PS3 should be on top of this department, being that much better than PC and XBOX 360.

Oh well, I suppose better graphics and controls will have to suffice...

Not in the case of FO3 I'm afraid. Inferior graphics and many more bugs for the PS3 version.

I can't comment on the bugs, but the graphics of the PS3 version are superior to those of the Xbox 360 version.

And what makes you say that?

Sites have done side-by-side comparisons and concluded that the 360 has better AA, better draw distance and less instances of pop-in than the PS3 version, as is the case with most PC to console ports.

Everything on the Xbox 360 was darker as well.

Mind you, they were still shots. I'm not getting all passionate over it. I just thought I would reply to Biggy's claims.

Screenshot 1:

The water looks much better on the 360 version, the rocks look sharper and the textures look better.

Screenshot 2: Better shadows on the 360. There is a structure missing in the PS3 version. The PS3 version looks jaggier.

Screenshot 3: Not a whole lot of difference. Although the 360 version looks to have better lighting.

LOL you may have some validity to claim it better than the 360 version (but from what I have seen - 60hours on 360 version and have only witnessed the PS3 version with others playing it - there ain't much if any difference).

But to claim the PS3 version better than the PC version is just laughable

Because you obviously have extensive knowledge of both.

Claims based on nothing often make you look stupid. That is the case here.

The PS3 port in no way fully utilises the PS3's abilities, its pretty shoddily done. There's barely any difference between the 2 however, and the average gamer wouldn't even notice.

So who gaf?
