Sorry but didn't know what else to say so this is from last thread.

Relised something today, there is scouting... sort of
Finished my season and at the start of the next i had a new player.
A 16 year old kid that i did not scout or sign or anything, he was just there.
It's pretty cool because he is one of my best atm and being so young, should improve greatly

I strongly disliked it at first, but I love the competition that the increased difficulty presents.

Yeah, the learning curve is a lot steeper than in previous iterations, and it doesn't have that pick-up-and-play value either, but once you get used to it, it is a much more rewarding game than FIFA 10.

I also have a beef with the defensive accomplishments for VP to unlock them you must play defence which makes sense but my VP is a CDM and would love to be able to play that possie and get defensive skills up a bit higher o im not so poorly rated.

Definitely agree with you, but in putting myself as a defender last night (as I also needed SOME defensive stats) I have started to really rack up the accomplishments fast and am statting up quickly too. Best thing is that when you change your position you don't lose any stats, it just re-assess them and puts them into the right spots that you would need as that position so you don't lose out at all but you're still gaining experience in those positions and for certain specific stats.

Only takes about 4 or 5 matches in defence to start racking up the stats and get yourself to an adequate level.

during my player manager mode, every time i get to this certain point in the game, the match will not load.. if i start a new player manager career will my current pro still be available with all stats as they are now??

It seems to be a bug as i can still play online and kick off matches no worries at all..

I've decided to start over against with West Brom. After the first trade periods I've managed to bring players with ratings of 70 and above to start on the field. Looking good.

My most exciting moment in the game so far. Playing Career Mode as Liverpool and just started season 2. It's trade period, and after playing every game so far, I decided to sim the first Euro qualifier against Swedish team Mallmo FF, and instead concentrate on signings and sales. Lost the simmed game 2-0....f*ck! Didn't even know who they were...paid them no respect and now I'm in trouble. One week later and it's the return leg at Anfield. I have to play and win 3-0 to advance.

Mallmo are dominating possession, and I can't string two passes together. I concede a free kick just outside the area. The Mallmo set play works...a chip over my wall, the striker brings the ball down on his right foot, feins a shot, then taps it under a diving Pepe Reina. Half time and I'm down 3-0 on aggregate, with one away goal to overcome.

Second half and I come out with the same line-up...Torres is getting forward, but still getting cut down each time. I Bring on my new recruit - Kranjcar. He slots in to the CAM position in front of Gerrard and Lucas. With immediate effect he gets throught the defense, but his shot is parried. There is a change though. The crowd noise grows, and the opposition seems less composed. In the 58th minute, I finally strike...Torres with a low pass to the left of the keepr and it's 1-1 (1-3 on aggregate). Still need 3 to get up.

3 mins later and Torres is through on goal again, but the shot is blocked. The momentum is mine though, and Mallmo can't clear the ball. Ten minutes after his first, Torres scores again. A sweet baulk and turn between two centre halves and a toe around the goalie... 2-1. So 22 mins left to score two more. Time starts to get away, and chance after chance are cut-off. Time for another recruit - Albrighton. He takes up his place in right wing and suddenly his speed opens them up, through ball...Kranjcar is through...3-1.

So 83 minutes in , and we are level, but they still have the away goal. Back to the centre for kick off. Quick steal and we have posession. Pass it around looking for an opening. Gerrard has it and knocks out a long through ball to an excelerating Albrighton. He's through, he gets it! In the 89th minute, Liverpool have scored their 4th. The crowd is loud, the game is won...Liverpool is into the Champions League.

Such a good feeling, the game has succeeded in this regard.

It's such a good feeling winning a close match because everything feels so much more real - the pressure, the intensity.

Loving this game at the moment. Only issue for me at the moment is the bad decisions by the Referee.

Stepping up from Fifa 09 (Didn't bother with '10) the game is a lot more difficult so its more enjoyable as you would think its an easy win against the lower ranked sides. Scrubbing draws against average sides is almost an accomplishment as it takes in the real-life aspect of away pressure and what not.

Has anyone scouted and freaks which have payed off for them on the game? I'm sick of RVP and nobody wanted Bendtner last trade period lulz

I couldn't offload Kuyt or Aquilani last transfer period...they just sit on the list picking up a game one in six or seven...managed to offload Poulsen to Fulham...I think Roy went back there as manager when I took over Liverpool

My 18 year-old, who is making regular sub appearances, just lost a point from his overall.

I really don't get it, he's getting experience at the top level, which is more than what most 18 year-old kids get. Moreover, am I meant to assume that because he isn't a 1st team starter he isn't training and isn't playing reserves matches?

Seriously, what a farce. I cannot wait until they release the patch, as it is massively needed as it stands.

-Signing with a sponsor in MM
-Scouting in MM
-Make your own set pieces

The overall of your player is also determined by form. He may not be in good form.

Can't really improve his form when his stats may be pretty average.

I thought the upgrades were silly but in a way also essential, as you would always upgrade the fitness coach early so your players don't get fatigued after a game.

I upgraded my fitness dude too much last time and my players were never fatigued after games, that sucked as I like to rotate my players but there was no point doing that. Upgrading stadium manager etc is a bit pointless as well, I don't think Sir Alex really bothers doing that at Old Trafford.

Scouting would be nice however.

The way the ranking points work is a complete farce how the hell can i lose -3 points losing 4-0 to Real with Birmingham but than lose 40+ points for losing to Barca 2-1 with Adelaide United WTF?. Anyone have any idea how the points work i get the fact that you get points in different categories but i just don't get how a 4-0 loss results in -30 final result points and how a 2-1 loss results in -74 final results points

I now retract all positive statements I have ever given towards this game. This game is a legitamate joke.

Lost to Blackpool 1 - 0 at home when they did not even shoot the ball once at goal. They got the goal when Almunia clean bowled 3 of my players and hit him in the head and went in. I had 29 shots on target and somehow did not even score. RVP was in the 6 yard box alone and hit it WIDE of the goal. Possesion count was 67% to 33%. I have lost all faith in the game so if anyone wants a cheap copy on PS3 and they are around Melbourne let me know.

Sounds like thats realistic with Almunia

After sitting 2nd for most of the 2nd half of the year behind citeh (Playing as Spurs), i manage to beat citeh away, and draw with chelsea at home in the one week to get myself 1st with about 5 games left.

2 games to go, im on top by GD, i have blackburn away. I start stongly, few good chances... then an own goal by ledley king puts me 1-0 down about 30min in, ok we can get in back. I could not break them down! get a few half decent chances but in the end i loose 1-0 there is some hope though, city drew. Im 1 point down but have a higher GD than them.

Last game at home to villa, city are playing chelsea (chelsea fighting for fourth). I have a positive start again. 30mins in, villa score (very similar to the one against us last week actually). Shit! this isnt good! I get through to half time and notice city are 1-1. again, some more hope. 2nd half starts with chances for both teams, untill a handball gives them a penatly. gomes goes the right way, but couldnt get a hand on it, 2-0, 50 mins in. From the restart i dominate possesion, creating a ton of chances. I bring on defoe so now we have 2 up front. Straight away defoe in on goal, hits the post, deflects of the back of the keeper, falls to pav how slots it home! i then have a few more great chances that i couldnt put away. In the end i loose 2-1. finish 2nd
