I’m seeing Insomnium next month, hope I don’t get COVID like I did at Dark Tranquility
Insomnium would be sick. I’ve been thinking about grabbing a ticket but just seen too many acts in the last 12 months, gotta draw the line somewhere.

"Tristan and Brodey, separate a metre now please."

"Tristan. One metre over."

"One metre over now!"

"Tristan, one metre over!"

Something unintelligible "one metre over."

"Free kick."

The umpire is going to throw the ball up. How can he make the decision that X is the player infringing and not Grundy?

After that, it appeared that the umpires couldn't have cared less if there wasn't a metre of separation between the rucks. They just threw the ball up.

Umpire #25.

The club is seeking clarification from the man who the free kick was paid against mouth, also questioning a few from the centre bounce.

This is the rule that umpire #25 used to penalise X...

Obviously, he didn't notice that Grundy was unduly pushing and bumping his opposition Ruck, blocking and makeing contact with Xerri prior to the football leaving the field Umpire’s hand.

Umpire #25 is a crock.

It’s frustrating.

I’m no expert, but it felt like there were a hundred players in our forward 50 all night - no one creating space.
The illusion of space is generally a result of players moving in and out of it.

People standing flatfooted behind their defenders hoping for a joe to goise over the back looks like a traffic jam in comparison.

Umpire #25 is Nathan Toner who certainly has paid the odd free kick or two against us, last year's Good Friday to Curnow and McKay who received 4 each comes immediately to mind.

But the ruck contest had not started.

18.4.3 b) in the last quarter Darling blatantly pushes Grundy out of the ruck contest and no free is paid.

It’s simple, do not pay the line ball over officious stuff. Pay the blatant stuff.

Absolute rubbish 2nd half. Don’t really think it’s the coach as much as it’s our players who wilt at the first hint of pressure and heat. Opposition teams must laugh and ridicule us at how mentally weak we are and just know when they get 3-4 goals in front that it’s all over. It’s a real losers mentality. This game had a sniff of an upset like the Port v St.Kilda game did. We shat ourselves again whilst the Saints showed a bit of fight and won. Because it’s only R4 I’ll give them another chance to rectify it.

Ruck infringements and HTB are the 2nd/3rd biggest blights on the game after umpiring in general taking out the top spot.

The rules are cooked and need a complete overhaul.

Its never going to be a linear rise, there will be hurdles along the way with a young talented side. I was shocked at the second half as i genuinely felt you guys could take it right up to the swans. Best bit is that next week they get to atone for it and they are absolutely good enough to do that. Good luck in gather round up at the barossa, make sure to check out rockfords winery and st hugo to any red wine drinkers heading over.

Join the club. At HT, we had fans in the crowd, fans who typically feel nervous energy whenever we have the lead, baying for the umps' blood, ready to fuel the team with manic passion for a fight down to the wire. We believed in their ability to win. And the players dished up that absolute tripe. It's obvious you mean well, but we're familiar with this team in a way that other fans are not. Save your breath, in case one of the other basket cases overtakes us in their rebuild and makes you look silly

On a side note didn’t know you could be tackled while taking a mark. One of the more bizarre decisions I have seen and I follow North.

3 minutes to halftime, we were up to our neck in the game. We were winning the quarter and attacking. Sydney changed their game and started to just hold possession and pick their way through us. They went end to end and our structure completely collapsed. I’ll be very interested in what Clarko has to say about that. They completely negated our strengths - Xerri and Larkey.
Is Tristan fit? He's been well beaten in our last two games

Must have been a new rule the AFL brough in this week and only told GC. Please make sure Larkey kicks a big bag of goals and makes Mac Andrew look like a complete muppet this week ..the campaigner

Stephens was one of our best. Stephens was one of our best.
The balance of the side is wrong, and playing funny buggers by starting Matlock and having Stephens and Scott on the wings when we were so bereft of good users and run in defence was bad coaching.

Archer and FOS back next week will help, but it seems we still cannot expect consistency from Larkey, LDU, Scott, Zurharr, Powell I.e our core. Psychologically there are huge problems.

So, just the coaching and game plan, the players and their skills and effort and the groups mental fortitude as problems.

Every single coach diffuses any issue nowadays and the external messaging will always be ‘nothing to see here’. Brad Scott 101. Behind closed doors a different story I’m sure
Exactly. FFS don’t worry about the press conference. Worry about Gold Coast next week, because that is what the coach is already half doing when giving those nothing answers.
