Jones is miles and miles away off AFL level, from what I've seen.

Fingers crossed Bedendo can string a good month together.

He hasn't blown the house down but I still reckon he's shown plenty especially with his speed. He's the only remaining 2021 draftee I can see getting a debut this year.

I've always had high hopes for Bedendo so hopefully we can see this form continue.

Luke Cleary is a 2021 draftee made his debut last night

It's so disappointing how weak or VFL team is this year. It must hinder the development of our AFL listed players when the team is so weak. With the possibility of VFL players getting a COVID call up to AFL level and our history of drafting Footscray players you would think we'd be able to put together a good team.
Coupled with our coaching appointments it really feels like we are a disadvantaged club which hasn't been the case in a long time.

Hopefully Jones, Parker, Bedendo, et al are just those types of players who suck at VFL level but thrive at AFL. We just need to bite the bullet and bring them all into the seniors next week so we can find out. In a lot of ways VFL is harder. I reckon if we made Bont play VFL he would struggle to get a touch.

Told you so, does it hurt going to sleep at night knowing you’ve got less football knowledge than me?

Not at all. Football for me is just mindless entertainment. I'll leave the football knowledge to those who get paid to think about that kind of stuff. My "football knowledge" isn't some aspect of my identity that has become sacred to me. I've never claimed nor wanted to be any kind of football savant. I'm already an expert on psychedelic drugs and homoerotic massage.

How’d Darcy go? Was unable to watch the game.

7 Disposals, 2 Tackles. Too early to contribute much insight. He nearly took a few more marks and seemed to adjust to the tempo. Wasn't used in the ruck. Is wafer thin as we know which may continue to affect his body contact work.
It was just great to see him on the park.
