I just updated the OP with some new rules. Back when this was started in 2011 we went with a "no live eBay auctions" rule but times have well and truly changed since then. Take a look at post #1 if you're interested.

Also, I'm perplexed as to the value of these two guernseys. Yes, Collingwood lost, but grand final PI's? From two separate years? Both selling for under $70 each? Ludicrous.

They are legit player issues, the 02 was sublimated GF logo and the 03’s were made specifically for the GF so there was no AFL logo under the attached GF logo. They must have made a few of the 03’s but yeah they just have not been reaching high prices which is fantastic for GF jumper lovers like myself!

It's obviously a good time for collectors. My barcode jumper that I spruiked on here the other day just sold for $44. Welp. :'(

Collingwood sold all the spares and unworn gf guernseys in the club shop in the weeks after the grand finals for $90
Looks like they made gf guernseys up for every player that played a game that season or maybe even the entire list.

Yeah I’d say entire list tbh

I've always felt that the best time to be a buyer is during the AFL off-season. Probably just due to footy not necessarily being front of mind, so there are fewer people looking. I can't help but feel that the 2005 Crows Heritage I got in December would have gone for $350+ if advertised during the season.

But then some are still expensive

Just saying, $500 for a Guernsey pro type???? expensive!!

What annoyed me is that I bidded on indigenous jumpers from the shop as they weren't on sale and was devastated that not only I lost the bids but then people sell them on eBay for more Money.

Yeah but to quote Rick Harrison is that what they're asking for or is that what they're selling for?
Saw today a bloke had listed a Tony Armstrong player issue Crows guernsey for $350... doesn't mean that Crows prices have skyrocketed unless it sells for that high

And it shouldn't. It's actually been up since the finals last year. Seller got lucky on a VB from the same year and must've figured they're all worth that.

He's also selling some obvious samples trying to pass them off as the real deal, but I digress.

Agree with your sentiments.
