I think they have to stop playing around with team selections and start settling this team much earlier in the season; IMO an unbalanced team is one of the reasons why we haven't at least made it to a GF over the past 4 years.

Personally i would like to see both Tuohy and Henderson play at HB for the whole year with Stewart also off HB, Blicavs at FB, one of O'Connor or Bews and one of Kolodjashni or Henry; stop playing 8 or 9 defenders and just pick 6.

Need 7 defenders - 6 on the field & one on the bench for rotations

But agree on the idea; though I was impressed with Kolo the last couple of weeks so I wouldn't mind seeing him & Blicavs as our key defenders next year.

I've already said he ticks all the boxes:

1. Turns 30 before next season.
2. Has existing and obvious physical (and mental) issues.
3. Only played 7 games in 2019.
4. Ex-Geelong Falcon.

The other side of the coin is that Steven has a few more runs on the board than any of the Rohan, Scooter types we have had come in.

If he's for pick 50 something then it's fine, absolutely fine risk v reward situation for me.


I'm not worried about his mental issues, more his loose issues though

Last thing Danger did before half time was go flying for a mark, get a 50 metre penalty and goal from right in front. He then runs up to the centre for the bounce, and gives Martin an earful. He runs off the field looking good and cocky. No injury. So wtf was he out of the centre in the 3rd?

Oh, and looking for that, I also saw Blicavs on the wing get the ball and stuff it up. Painful. Like watching Caddy when he played mid for us. No idea, no feeling for it.

What did people think of Menegola's game last night?

I thought he was pretty good though i would like to see him clunk a few more marks when he goes forward.

I actually think he has gone a little way to turning his rep round re finals, he was good for the last 3 quarters against the Pies, had some good moments last night... His best finals series to date for us.
That smother was mighty, he was an inch away from holding a mark in the square when outnumbered 3 to 1 as well that would have really helped that half time buffer

This was a *majorly* underrated turning point. Miers fell apart mentally in the second half IMO. He was killing it until half time but once the crowd got on his back and the Tigers starting getting in to him after the "dive" incident he seized up and looked far less relaxed in possession, leading to numerous skill errors and mistakes. He needed someone to step in and help him through that. Instead his teammates just let the Tigers intimidate him back into his shell.

Rubbish! I was surprised how well the young man coped, like water off a ducks' back.

it sucks that we lost, but I'm not upset about it. Scott isn't a great coach and Richmond was the better team on the night and for the majority of the season.

We had some good signs from a few of the young blokes like Miers and O'Connor and we were missing Hawk, Dunc & Clark from the best 22. Add Nakia hopefully and while we are now transitioning from some of the older guys I think the future looks more bright than bleak.

I'm also glad it wasn't like the last two PF's that were over at 1/2 time. We took it up to them but they were just too good.

Well he did start shit with Mitch Duncan, spend a lot his time in Bali then decided not to play VFL finals cause the club was gonna let him go.
Wouldn't particularly categorise him as a heart and soul type player.

Rolling the dice. Houli took Dahlhaus to the cleaners in the second half last night too. Not a great day to be discussing the merits of top up recruits..

He spent just as much time on Kelly who was fwd a lot last night esp the first 3qrts. They were basically playing Russian Roulette. Houli was damaging and very good but he got slaughtered by Kelly. Modern footy I guess. He did push over to Dahl when Kelly played midfield and he certainly won that battle.

Credit where it's due.. Kolo was a deer in headlights first final, he was super solid early last week and even though Darling got on the end of a few I thought he was beaten in the one on ones by Jake, Kolo was tremendous on Jack last night.

There is a strong rumour that Harry might retire, the players seemed to think Gaz would play another year, and Kelly isn't gone yet. Making suggestions based on unsubstantiated rumours is not helpful. I'm sure the club always does its best to get the best draft picks. Start again? You mean close the club and open a new one?
