All I can say is if you can't take honest feedback from one of the greatest defenders of all time - no matter how "direct" - then you're in the wrong sport.

At best.“Not toxic” to me means “not great”.
There were others at the club that were uncomfortable with how Clark was being treated. I'm not saying he is perfect, obviously he made some mistakes. In the WAFL he was regarded as very professional and a great kid in his draft by senior players and talk that he was a good developing leader. Just a frustrating outcome that someone with his talent that he showed in year one from a super draft leaves for a pick in the 20s.“Not toxic” is hardly a glowing endorsement though.
That's a poor take. That is Clark being professional with a politician answer. All I can say is if you can't take honest feedback from one of the greatest defenders of all time - no matter how "direct" - then you're in the wrong sport.

Brisbane is the other one at 18. They need points next year. Like the Dockers they may be willing to slide back 4 spots for future picks (depending on their draft board) given they will be wanting some points in the bank next year Ashcroft.Exactly my thought as per above post, haha - great minds!
Are there any highlights of Knevitt?
I did a quick google search but couldn't find all that much.
I meant Tim Kelly. Forgot about Neale. But there's still time for him to demand a trade home next year lol.
I know it's not going to be the case of all players, but I think we should prioritize vics over west australians, cause they are the most likely to flee.
I'm actually heavily on board with getting Greg Clark, if it was possible. Eagles are keen, and we could take him before them (again). If he wants to go home in 2 years (doubtful), they'll have to pay a premium, haha.
But seriously, I reckon this would be a hell of a draft period:
Delist Constable
Trade picks 30, 50 and Carlton Future 3rd to Dogs for Pick 23 and a Future 4th
Pick 22: Tom Brown
Pick 23: Mitch Knevitt
Pick 32: Toby Conway/Zac Taylor
Pick 34: Greg Clark
Rookie Pick: Blake Schlensog (if he agrees to it)
Rookie Pick: Jackson McLachlin
Rookie Pick: Jarrod Brander (if he agrees to it) OR - Re-Rookie: Charlie Constable
DFA: Tyson Stengle
Rookie upgrade: Close (more likely to be poached as young and talented)
Rookie maintain (Atkins - with an agreement to be upgraded next year)

Thoughts peeps?
It’s not true. My staff like me. At least that’s what they say to my face!![]()
When you actually listen to it it was bleedingly obvious there was no bad blood at all, he spoke very well of the club in all honesty.I listened to the Clark interview live and didn’t think for one second he had a bad friendship with Scarlett and said just that.
He spoke about things getting beat up in the media about not only his relationship with Scarlett but also the phone call with Wells.
Wells actually called him to not even talk about the trade just to see how he was doing “think there’s some mental health issues with young Jordan currently” Covid would absolutely suck for those young players who are so far from there families.
Yes and before people on here speak about his toxic context maybe listen to the interview and you won’t have a negative view on it.When you actually listen to it it was bleedingly obvious there was no bad blood at all, he spoke very well of the club in all honesty.
Not the first time so called divides turned out to be complete bullshit and wont be the last.
Constable delisted.
Reckon hell struggle, no interest all trade period and list spots and salary caps are tight, reckon if he gets all the way through we will rookie him though.Hope he gets a run somewhere
Will be very interesting if he does

Just checked out a few draft rankings and found considerable divergence of views. So it's a tricky draft with theoretically even talent from 15 -35/40.
Perhaps this is an opportunity for Wells to pull of another great drafting coup.
My own view is we need mids and classy defenders as in blokes with dash who can actually roost the sausage, including a couple of left-footers. I think we should pass on Knevitt as we've had limited luck with Falcons in recent years, albeit the good ones have gone before our picks.
Agreed.
Some blokes are rated anywhere from pick 16 to pick 32... AS even as a pool table i reckon.
Yes a Wells drafting coup will do wonders for then club heading into the next decade.
I tend to side with you on Knevitt. Seems to me like a Cooper Stephens clone. And the jury is still out on him.
Having not seen much of Knevitt, I'm scepitcal of these tall MIDs. They seem to have been overrated ever since Cripps came on the scene. I feel like Knevitt could be another Jansen.
Pies and dogs will only trade picks if they can still cover bids and get extra assets into next year. They already have enough points for this year.
I forgot the list lodgement date was 31 Oct. My concern is if we only have four senior list spots and if we're trying to consolidate picks or trade into next year's draft, surely other clubs will realise they have some leverage there, i.e. that fifth pick is worthless to us.
Now that the dogs got an extra 378 points from the Lipinski trade, I can't see them giving up p23 so easily. We might be able to get p27 from Collingwood, but it would have to be enticing, because they could easily just not bother with Dib.
