Ronald Fejo Jnr has all those traits....lightning quick...good foot skills and all class......hopefully grab him late...
Geez he looked good in those highlights.

Don't you love a kid who is lightning quick and can deliver by foot.....also showed awareness of what was happening around him...great vision.....I'd like to see him deliver off the left for sure, but he looks very special on those limited highlights.

Doubt the coach would pick him off that skill set, not dour enough.

Alistair Lord with his run and carry seems to be the type we desperately lack. Otherwise Rayson or Banks. Chesser, McDonald, Taylor would also be suitable.

Ruck-wise we've got Neale and the Greek waiting in the wings and we've brought in Ceglar. Our need for mids and others is greater at this point.

Mathew Roberts has been the subject of lengthy discussion focused on his speed and agility; he might be a good get if he slides, but then we thought the same about Chooka.

Yes....he can deliver off the left.....more extensive highlights here....

..

Holy sh*t, I thought his original highlights were amazing, but this is next level.

He's just as good off his left as his right, he has speed, poise, skill, perfectly weighted kicks, kicks goals and plays in multiple areas from the looks of it... how in the hell is this kid not being touted as a First Rounder, or at the very least, in the Top 30-50?

I'd take him at 22 off that. Jeez louise he looks something special!

I like him, but the knocks are that his contest and defensive areas need a lot of work.

one Of our most pressing needs is key forwards…Hawkins is 34, Cameron is turning 29… in 2-3 years it will be only Cameron potentially playing games in between injuries as I doubt he has longevity.

we need to look at getting in a good young key forward to develop for a few years in the VFL to be ready.

other than that keep probing away at good young mids

Next year is apparently the year for talls, so I suspect - given Wells' comments - that we'll be heavily mid focused this year, with a KPD like Alleer on the radar too

For those that followed this years talent closely, which players have elite speed and are damaging by foot? With a bit of class.
One who I really like in this category is Cooper Murley. Had an outstanding bottom age year last year but battled collarbone and ankle injuries this year (not soft tissue injuries which is a good thing). Could've easily been top 15 without the injuries so could be a high value pick on draft night. His playstyle reminds me of someone like Zac Butters or Errol Gulden. I watched a video where he got interviewed and seemed like a really good kid. His humbleness and maturity really stood out for his age.

Here is a link to his draft profile if you want to know more.

Like him, but don't think I can take any more injured 'sliders.' Generally if they slide, they slide for a reason. Injury seems to be the worst reason, and one that has continually screwed us every time we've picked one

His kicking is a non issue. Technically sound just a rung down from elite and better than many currently in the hoops. If cats pass on him they will regret it

Agreed. Knevitt is definitely a good pick for us.

Seems like there’ll be a lot of good options at our picks this year. I can understand why Wells said we’re targeting MIDs.

Because its a mids draft and the talls (bar a few exceptions) arent great. Just so happens that we need mids so that matches up well.

Agree with all points, and to add, most other clubs will treat a trade of our future first offer as being a late first, e.g. pick 18. It wouldn't get us inside the first round this year, and given we already have pick 22, if a player slides we'd just take them with that pick. If another player slides past that pick, then trading our future first would be giving up too much. Just won't happen.

Agreed..a future 1st wouldnt get us inside the top 10 this year and its too risky to trade it unless it did. If we really want in to the teens this year trade 22 and a future 2nd or 3rd to do it.

Just posted this on the main board, and thought I'd post it here to see what people's thoughts are re: draft order -

Come @ me! :D :grinning:

Knevitt brown and sonsie going just before our picks makes me sad..id be on the phone to bris trying to live trade for 16 in that scenario.

But i like the players you picked for us..taylor and roberts are solid gold players and aleer is worth the risk given our needs. Conway is solid and worth the pick but im not sure we will draft a ruck.

Ceglar and Stanley and most likely Blicavs will be gone in 2 years time. Gives us SDK, Tsapatolis, Neale and Conway going forward for the rebuild.
And whatever FA/trade options we avail ourselves of.

Hes not being touted as a R1 because hes a low production player and not consistent at this stage. If you assume you can develop that in him hes worth a look. Wont go top 25 though.
