One of the bigger "busts" in terms of top 10 picks and what the potential upside was. They won't all work out but he was one I had high hopes for.Nakia Cockatoo retired.
Probably consider him because he can mark the footy, and losing Esava, and with the concerns about Henry's feet, you need to bring someone in I suppose. He is probably more likely to be cover for Henry. They still will bring in another KPD tbh. We have the list spots.Spud but can play both ends and will cost nothing, provides cover for a couple years with Sav going out.
Do you take Stevens if we get a chance to get either Sanders or Smith... Probably not. I can see Cats being interested in Stevens though, being a Warnambool kid especially. I'd prefer to bring in a quality tall like Shoenmaker at 23, he would be a very good upgrade on Esava imho, younger, can mark, and has a great kick on him.A four way trade involving grundy, wines and esava was floated on trade radio. Cats could end up with pick 23 for Sav.
Could help us draft Stevens, move up for Sanders or trade for Bailey Smith.
I'd probably run for the hills with that one if I was Cats. To have Esava in that company of players, albeit they are older and carry large contracts.23 to Dees for Grundy
Wines to Melbourne
23 for wines
Esava for 23
Is my guess
Really happy we are not in the hunt for Oliver. Melbourne silence is concerning - very much the dog that didn't bark.
There are massive off field issues that the media won't even touch on
23 for Sav is an absolute steal for us, if you're hoping for more you are going to be very disappointedProbably consider him because he can mark the footy, and losing Esava, and with the concerns about Henry's feet, you need to bring someone in I suppose. Hawthorn fans refer to Obrien as "Glimpses" which says everythingMy excitement is palpable
But I thought Brisbane was going to fix his body??Nakia Cockatoo retired.
This is your life mantra, not oursBest is to feel we have no hope and see how it pans out.
=We have very little to offer or trade with
Petracca has always seemed like a really good bloke and the type that gets along with everyone. From what I understand it’s not as bad as the silence would make you believe, he & Petracca have never gotten on, he’s tested the waters on leaving before, both parties not happy with how his injury was handled this season, he’s not matured emotionally linearly the way Melbourne would’ve hoped & they see a window to possibly pulling off something that lands them a KPF & assets to get up to Pick 1, definitely walking a tightrope if they do want to retain him though.
I think the assumed & rumoured drug stuff is overblown.
You just knew when he came back to preseason looking like he'd put on 30kgs it wasnt going to end well, what made him so good to start was his pace and agility, in the end he was more of a damaged wrecking ball. But I thought Brisbane was going to fix his body??

I don't think we're going to land anyone and I'm confident we'll never win another flag. This is your life mantra, not ours
They did! The sports car is fixed but can only run in first gear. But I thought Brisbane was going to fix his body??
We need to accept our era has been over since bomber left!I don't think we're going to land anyone and I'm confident we'll never win another flag.
Am I doing this right?
It was actually Wines to Sydney23 to Dees for Grundy

Yeah I think it's a bit of a stretch for some to suggest that it's rumoured.Have heard with solid mail that he is extremely fond of the nose beers, to the point of it being a genuine problem IN SEASON, as well as other bizarre personal traits involving hygiene and general professionalism. Very strange situation the Dees find themselves in.
He's a C graderO'Brien provides us with cover for J Henry and Kolo. One has feet issues, the other has concussion issues. No probs with getting him, because we have list spots available, and we don't have enough decent draft picks anyway.
As far as fake trades go, there's actually a bit of merit in that one.23 for Sav is an absolute steal for us, if you're hoping for more you are going to be very disappointed
If everything goes to plan he won't play a game anyway. It's just Ceglar 2.0 in defence. He's a C grader
Nup! He's approaching his best years and ready-made big back-half players are at a premium. As can be seen by North's Ben McKay likely to be a first-round compensation pick. 37 would have been a joke.23 for Sav is an absolute steal for us, if you're hoping for more you are going to be very disappointed
Not so fast there PO.
Clarko as coach- enhances their future.
They have many concessions and great picks, as well as a building list.
They have an awesome KF and some great mids/hbf /rising stars already.
Not quite the basket case they have been.

I can categorically put the Oliver story in the bin - at least from a Geelong perspective.
Not something we'd consider, and the terms would blow up our approach to cap management and player contracts. So it's a firm NO and priorities lie elsewhere. Makes for good fodder on these forums and in the media, but we won't be playing the game on this one. Melbourne are supposedly shopping a few "name" players around and the reason is that they want early draft access......early as in a couple of picks inside the top 10. They've long held interest in Harley Reid so if any deal is done, expect it to be with Eagles or North to get hold of those first few picks.
23 would be a reasonable result, but it's not a "steal"With the lack of leverage we have a 20s pick for sav would be absolute best case scenario.
We might be talking about a different kid making his debut. The kid I saw against Bulldogs had comfortably beaten the All Australian ruckman to half time, and finished with more hitouts than anyone else on the ground?
