Well I liked The Perks of Being a Wallflower it was probably one of the better coming of age movies I've seen in recent years though it suffered from a terrible marketing team who created an awful poster, trailer and title. Also it was a bit weird that a bunch of kids in the 80's or 90's who all listen to The Smiths, New Order, and Queen took over a year to work out what Heroes by David Bowie was after they heard it.

Also it was probably the most hipster movie of the year though I never saw Moonrise Kingdom

If you get a shit ATAR, just do a similar course at a shitter Uni, then try transfer into the better Uni after a year.

Hope those of you who got their ATAR's yesterday are happy. My sister spent last night attempting suicide by alcohol because she got 20 less than she needed to get into her course.

Sounds cliche but ATAR is just a number - she can still do what she wants if she works hard enough for it.

Well I am late 20's and can hit the 100k mark if I go back full time, but **** that. Uni is overrated for job prospects, great for learning though!

Being a student is a great 'job'

But when people go to Uni to do Business Management, Marketing, Admin, IT (infrastructure, not development), pretty much all arts - they're generally not forwarding their career prospects.

Most of them (me included, though I didn't do any of those courses) are just delaying finding a grown-up's job until they work out exactly what sort of grown-up's job they want. I'm still buggered if I know what I want to do, though, so a fat lot of good the last 5 years have been.
