It's easy to say that, but there's 0% chance of it happening in reality.I would actually rather roll the dice with O'Meara than Gibbs.
Gun mid which would have won us games off his own boot singlehandedly and will cost us less too. Yes he is injury prone but its the risk.
This is where Carlton can really bend us over.
Lyons to walk to the preseason draft and the Blues get him. In effect then we can lose 1st 2016 and 2017 and Lyons.
If they bid for him we'll need to use 2 picks to secure himPort will consider it imo, but didnt they sell their first rounder? We should be ok.

Champion Data ranking had Lyons ahead of Gibbs.show me your evidence.
Ok that message from SOS doesn't fill me with a lot of hope
There's 0% chance he'd come to Adelaide. Doesn't matter how hard we went, he wants to move to Victoria to be with his partner.Depends on how hard we went at him tbh. We dont know and you dont know.
Its easy for you to say that.![]()
I cant believe we have posters here saying losing 2 first rounders isnt a big deal because we got through losing two over Tippett ok.
No, its not ok. If we had those two picks we most likely wouldnt be saying our midfield lacked depth.
Considering nothing has happened yet you might just be jumping the gun a bit.Say what you like about SOS, he wins. Weak as piss Adelaide.

This trade week seems to have gotten away from us.This is where Carlton can really bend us over.

We were never getting Gibbs for 13 only.Say what you like about SOS, he wins. Weak as piss Adelaide.
We had our 1st & 2nd rounders taken off us for 2 years
No mention of the pick we would get back you mental giant?I cant believe we have posters here saying losing 2 first rounders isnt a big deal because we got through losing two over Tippett ok.

This is from the Carlton website:
Discussions continue between Carlton and the Adelaide Football Club ahead of the AFL’s Trade Period deadline on Thursday afternoon.
General Manager of List Management and Strategy Stephen Silvagni says there have been ongoing discussions with the Crows in recent days, after Bryce Gibbs signalled his desire to return to his home state due to personal reasons.
“There have been discussions with Adelaide to settle on a fair trade, but while we are empathetic to Bryce’s personal situation, Bryce has a contract with the Carlton Football Club and we expect him to see it out,” Silvagni said.
“He is a contracted player, however as yet, no deal has been put forward that we feel would sufficiently match the value of Bryce; given his standing as a 200-plus game leader at our football club.
“Obviously the two clubs have their respective positions on what is a fair trade, so we will continue to work through this.”
Silvagni added that discussions also remain ongoing following Zach Tuohy’s request to explore his options elsewhere.
“Zach has chosen to explore his options, but we are close to a deal on this, and confident we will get a good outcome for our football club,” Silvagni said.
The NAB AFL Trade Period officially closes at 2:00pm on Thursday afternoon.
