Give Cartlon until 9am this morning, take it or leave it. If no we move on. Go for Rockliff.

Tyson Edwards has suggested we don't need Gibbs anyway because our midfield needs outside run. For a guy who's son is likely to become a Crow in 12 months it annoys me he apparently missed us recruiting Seedsman, Hampton and Milera last year, as well as the Swans demolishing us through the middle in the semi-final...

We will get a pick in the 20's for Lyons. It probably looks now we wont be in the draft until the mid 50s if we get Gibbs. Sounds similar to 2012 and 13. Can the club sustain this. We can for B Jarman because we need to get best available. It doesn't seen like were moving any of our fringe players. We better not trade out any of next years picks. We will end up like PA.
People using some #crowlogic and getting confused
13+
A good result is the 2017 1st round downgrade pick , better result than a flat 2017 2nd rounder
Carlton can't do the marchbank picket and hrovat trade until the Gibbs trade is done.....still think we hold if it's 2 first rounders
It's funny the Carlton board a day or so ago were saying they don't need us 2nd rounders will get the marchbank deal done and they don't need us as they were dealing with gws before us.Marchbank deal wont get done until Gibbs deal. We have a lever to hold over Carlton. Or why don't we offer something to Marchbank to piss Carlton off. SOS thinks he superman, we need to take him down a peg.
This is going to be unpopular.
People seem to still want it both ways. Go aggresively for a flag, but avoid the fall.
Yeah chase gibbs... but but what about our future.
Our time is now. Weve crafted a list to challenge now. Danger left a hole and i hate him for it.
I said last year we had to replace him NOW or wed struggle this year. Many thought we'd be fine. Ultimately we had our moments but our mids were found wanting when it mattered most.
We must improve our midfield to contend. Immediately.
If we pay overs from out future... we have a fall. We get a chance to rebuild.
Stop being the mentality many claim to despise in the club. We are the club. How we respond to this trade will have impact on future big decisions . Lets respond in a manner than encourages an appropriate level of risk taking.
I would have thought so, seems like people are using the points system to judge if it's good. Not really or at all
Difference is first pick at #30 vs 13 based on this year
A flat 2017 2nd is much the better option
As has been pointed out to me... Gibbs played a large part of his career with Judd along side him, he still never really looked at being elite.

He's suggesting:
ADE Out: 2016 1st Round Selection, 2017 First Round Selection
CAR Out: B. Gibbs, 2016 2nd Round Selection, 2017 Second Round Selection
You'd take that.
I'm 100 percent sure I could spend a couple of days and get you 1000s of quotes over time using 'in fages we trust' 'in Roo we trust' 'in rendell we trust'
Obviously future pick placements are unknown but as a guide, going into trade period next year would you rather
- 22, 31, 59...
- 13, 59....
If next year is a strong draft for depth then 22 and 31 over just 13 could be better. Also the alternative gives us no chips for trade week without missing out on draft talent which we won't want to do so adds some flexibility
There is every chance they want our 2nd this year and we are pushing for the downgrade instead. We could win negotiations but fans think we lost!
It really depends on draft strategy and obviously eventual placings
When I say all in I don't mean to stop at Gibbs. The reality is no single player is likely to be the difference. Only hope is to grab a couple via trade and free agency and hope there is enough upside with the rest of the squad.
Sorry, but that's a total crock. This is going to be unpopular.

Fair pointYou would ALWAYS prefer 13 & 59
Because if you really wanted to you
Convert 13 to 22 & 31
Look at the haul st kinda got for 10
Lot easier to turn 13 into 22 & 31 than it is 22 & 31 into 13
pretty sure we can't afford his contractHave faith in our recruiters ... carlton dont want to lose pick 5... im just very disappointed that rocky is in the market and we've done nothing to get him. Id give up a second even if he is a piece of shit. Back our culture.

Bacon and egg roll primed and ready...Trade radio saying something big has gone down. Hopefully its Gibbs and I can go on with my life and start eating again.
