Heat and humidity both make me grumpy. My office was cooler than my house this morning. Not often do I roll around the office carpet wallowing in the perfectly chilled environment. I was glad to be back, that is pretty sick.

Our house is a poorly insulated 1930's built clinker brick joint and the ducted A/C hasn't worked since October 5th. Having barely survived the past week with two young kids and a constant indoor temperature between 28C and 35C I find myself rocking back and forth in a corner scratching the floorboards with a hunting knife in the dark.

Grumpy doesn't adequately reflect the level of angst!

Didnt the pricks come and fix it yet?

This is what happens in Katamatite South if you don't offer quick service....

Got a 2850 litre water tank. Filled in 5 minutes this 'arvo l reckon.

We inherited a 30k litre when we moved to this place. Without another $2000 pump it trickles out the hose at a snail pace. I suppose we will do something nek drought.

Could be rephrased as Losing my savings due to replacing leaky kitchen taps.

And it was a couple hundred for basic mixer taps.

Had to install a fence to keep Woof out of mischief...lot of money that....but destruction has ended.

......but the initial problem we rang to complain about (burning smell and the fan not pushing the cool air through) still exists despite them replacing three fans and fan motors. The issue came to a head when they sent their guru out two days prior to Xmas and he thought it had finally been sorted, only for the burning smell to return the following day..........another scorcher! Now the bastards are all on holidays! F*** the world!

Similar problem with a heater some years ago.

Would not ignite.

Same amount of visits....Guru came...couldn't fix it...he said that they would keep "coming back to fix it for free as a guinea pig to learn how to fix similar issues in the future in that model."

I went to Whirlpool and found the same brand...same model...with the same problem all over Australia.

We were renting and in the end did not gaf.

The owner of the service company is trying to sort it out with the company who made the A/C unit, Lennox, laying all the blame on them and telling me daily that he's determined to make sure they sort this out once and for all. Meanwhile..............heatwave!

My old man recently dropped a five figure sum replacing the downstairs heating/ cooling system at his place as it wasn't heating/ cooling the front half of the house and led to a very hot and uncomfortable 2015 Xmas lunch. Trouble was, the new unit didn't seem to be any better so he got the installer's guru to come and check it out. Turns out that the ducts in the front half of the ground floor are connected to the upstairs heating/ cooling system.

D'Oh! (Although it was lovely and cool when I visited on Xmas day).

You're nearly there TT. I am reliably informed that their call-out counter only goes up to 11.
