Guess the Pies draft picks

Might be fun to have a stab at who we will draft Saturday, heres my (fairly optimistic) guesses:

Round 1. #10 Matthew Bate
Round 2. #23 Ben Eckermann
Round 3. #39 Travis Cloke
Round 4. #55 Ryan Bain
Round 5. #66 Pass

Winner gets an all expenses not paid day at the footy with Hoggy.

I was told that the Pies would use 23 on Bain if he were to still be around.....not a bad outside player. Just thinking. He'd be 19 when the season starts, do u think the pies would take a risk with a 19 year ld when they could pick up at 17 year old who has achieved the same as Bain???

Danyle Pearce broke the 20m sprint record, and had the top vertical leap IIRC, whilst performing really well in the beep and agility tests.

He's an athletic freak, the knock on him being his size, he's really lightly built. Worth a shot though, I'd love to get him at #55.

we need someone with abit of grunt, who's not scared of abit of contact and is willing to exhert some physical presence on the field. thats why molloy was so needed.

We dont need another fatassed wombat at the club, we are trying as hard as we can to get rid of them all, why would we replace them with more lard?

We need to go for a quick small outside athlete, or a tall running flanker/forward/midfielder. Best available as long as he's not fat.

our main weakness over 2002-2003 was our lag of physical presence. any side that roughed up the game against us would often cause an upset.

I second those four and would be very happy if we were to get all four. I think it a toss up between Bate and Meyer for pick 10.
