As much of this as possible - get your "boos" on

When it comes to which club gets the most favourable run from the whistle blowers on their home deck, it is West Coast, then daylight.

The #freekickHawthorn phenomenon is just a small ripple compared to the trend in the west that has seen the Eagles dominate the free kick counts at home over a decade.

And the Champion Data numbers show they are the most protected team in the AFL.

Over a span of 115 matches, West Coast has been paid 602 more free kicks than interstate opposition at Subiaco Oval. That’s more than five a game more than its rival, on average.

What for? To make up the numbers like you did for most of the nineties?
West Coast Eagles in the 1990s:

1 Prelim, 1 losing grand final, 2 minor premiership, 2 premiership, 4 semi-finalist, 2 elim finalist, zero years out of the finals.

Let's compare with Fremantle in 22 years

1 Elim Final, 3 Semi-Final, 2 Prelim, 1 losing grand final, 15 years out of the finals, 1 wooden spoon.

I'm no fan, but the West Coast in the 1990s outperformed Fremantle for its entire lifespan by quite a big margin.

Per match, Bulldogs at Etihad have them beat. Carlton, North, Geelong at Kardinia Park and Port Adelaide in Adelaide also have striking margins of difference.

Makes for an interesting last game of the home and away season.

Assuming dees and dons win. What do you do if you are the coach. Play on at all cost?

Gonna be a great last round.

Win against Adelaide and hope Essendon lose/ Beat Adelaide by a lot and essendon to only win by a small margin ? And hope that saints and bulldogs don't have big wins. Is that it?
West Coast need to beat Adelaide by 30+ points, and then if Melbourne lose by 12+ points to Collingwood OR Essendon lose by any margin, we play finals.

If not for 2 "home" finals at the MCG, that record might have been a lot better too.
