Simmo has used up all the credits from 2018, we have under achieved to be honest a list with Kennedy, Hurn, Shuey and co should have achieved more but we have a long 5 years ahead

Big picture is this a blessing in disguise for the Eagles.

Best case scenario this year was 5th.

Finish bottom.. get a gun. Uncovered some youngsters.

Start a rebuild nicely.

Let's be honest. We all know they will bounce back and won't be down for long.

SImmo will have to make hard calls on veterans my view is
a) Hurn, JK, Shuey, Redden retire. I love them 3 of them are greats of the club with Hurn and JK will be two of the legends of our club. let them retire with dignity this year

b) We need to put time into Oscar Allen, Dixon, Naish, and blood other youngsters together with mature age picks from the WAFL. its a hard slog but it has to be done

Mate you guys are shit with an old list. That is the topic. You know your club gets a free ride in the WA media and positive spin constantly. Freo fans hate that more than anything. We respect champs like Jk, Hurn, Peter Matera, Woosh..on the flip side there’s players who are shit heads like all clubs.

It’s the biased bs we hear in the WA bubble that makes Eagles insufferable. On top of that Nisbett is a w***er who needs to move on..not simmo. Back him in for the rebuild.

Jayden Pitt is pretty irrelevant to poor draft choices… he had a heart condition it would be like calling Morabito a horrible draft choice. You never really know how good he could have been as he never got a true chance

Not saying he was a poor draft choice, per se. I'm merely stating that your club had opportunities to pick Darling and opted not to. In fact, every other club had an opportunity to pick him and didn't. Trying to say WCE were gifted opportunities through priority picks is odd.

Consider Melbourne, for instance. Belted in a prelim in 2018 and finished near the bottom the following season, which allowed them to pick up Luke Jackson. They then win the flag 2 years later, with Jackson playing a massive part in the win.

I'm not saying that's unfair at all, they were absolutely entitled to the pick, but bringing up Judd earlier was bizarre to say the least. Cleared up by Quinz though I guess.

For this year. Last year we swapped 1st rounders with Port so they could get ahead of Essendon for Sinn, in exchange for their 2nd rounder this year. Supposedly we were planning to take Chesser regardless

Agreed I should have said sampi rather than Judd. So it would have been like Melbourne getting Jackson and McAsey (bad example as he can’t get a game) but young and serong would have been available at those picks.

I don't know if anybody gets fired up or bothers much with the endless advise that Fremantle give the Eagles.If it helps strengthen the clubs resolve and increase the intolerance for mediocrity at the Eagles then I welcome it .But at the end of the day the advise from a bunch of never wazzes is pretty insignificant when you are a great big successful behemoth of a club like the Eagles .It 's the expectations of the fans that matter.
Simpson has taken the club to seven successive finals campaigns two grand finals and one premiership so thats a pass as far as Eagles fans are concerned.

A Ken Judge like uncompetitive year when fans are back at games would not be good but that will not happen.
