In hospital due to covid? Or in hospital for other reasons but also has covid?

I would be surprised if any of those that attended the protest/riot and then turned up to hospital the next day with covid symptoms
Anti vax people don't get covid, it's just a cold, isn't it?

NSW doesn’t mandate vaccines for construction workers, but if a worksite has an unvaccinated worked can only operate at 50% capacity. Result - vaccine rates increase and more worksites operate at full capacity.

VIC government mandates vaccines for construction, knowing there is a higher resistance to vaccines in this sector than others, and the shit hits the fan.

There were other ways to approach this.

But Dan and the CHO yet again apply a sledgehammer with a total lack of thought about wider implications. Seriously how many times have they done this now?

Carrot vs stick, NSW apply the rule that gives people choice, VIC it’s all about control. It’s Narcissist Dan’s way or the highway. No surprise which worked.

Construction workers

A construction site in the Central Coast or Shellharbour local government areas is no longer a construction site in Greater Sydney. These are now construction sites in regional and rural NSW.

If you live in or are temporarily staying in a local government area of concern, you must not enter or remain at a construction site in Greater Sydney unless you have:
  • had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or
  • had 1 dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 21 days ago or
  • had 1 dose of a COVID-19 vaccine within the past 21 days and you have been tested for COVID-19 in the past 72 hours (3 days) or
  • evidence of a medical exemption and you have been tested for COVID-19 in the past 72 hours.

If you are required to have a COVID-19 test to enter or remain at a construction site, you must have a COVID-19 test once every 72 hours. This can include rapid antigen testing in the manner approved by the Chief Health Officer.

Construction workers who are unable to have a COVID-19 vaccine can request a COVID-19 vaccination exemption for medical reasons.

Construction employers and occupiers

The occupier of a construction site must not allow a person who lives in a local government area of concern to enter or remain at the construction site unless they have received a COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with the rules for construction workers.

For LGAs of concern of course, and these rules will be unwinding in coming days/weeks in NSW. Makes no sense to do elsewhere when there are more sensible approaches available
So you were wrong then?

Because just as NSW has listed certain areas where vaccination is mandatory, so has Victoria

Same - Same

Yeah I just made it up.

From 11 August 2021, construction is permitted in Greater Sydney, including the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour, with 50% of workers allowed on site. This includes in the local government areas (LGA) of concern:

Blacktown
Campbelltown
Canterbury-Bankstown
Cumberland, Fairfield
Georges River
Liverpool
Parramatta
Penrith for the following suburbs: Caddens, Claremont Meadows, Colyton, Erskine Park, Kemps Creek, Kingswood, Mount Vernon, North St Marys, Orchard Hills, Oxley Park, St Clair and St Marys.
Construction workers from these LGAs will be able to attend construction sites as authorised workers if they meet minimum vaccination conditions.

This is what they first introduced last month. No protests.

“Same same”?

Made it up?...no, just a little ignorant and you look at things far too narrowly

Besides, other Industries in NSW have mandated vaccinations, but you purposely over look that

That is called "Dishonest Framing"

No, Vic has mandated vaccination in the construction sector across the board, if you read what you posted, it is mandated for those in LGAs of concern, not in all areas.

Not same - same.

And here is even more wilful ignorance and dishonest framing

List the Industries in NSW where vaccination is Mandated....go on I dare you?

No.

Do you seriously think a few hundred people following a couple of influencers around the city is Dan's fault?
The fish rots at the head.
It's just another negative metric in Dan's growing collection, comparative to other state leaders. In 2020 when he covered up Cedar meats and bungled HQ, he showed he was too compromised and incompetent to run pandemic response and the facts since then have only highlighted it further.
