Yeah, I get that. Just makes it seem artificial and so arbitrary that any primary school kids still need to wear masks, particularly when secondary students don't need to. But it is what it is and has been for a long time
Secondary schools are double vaccinated

I can only assume that we're going to see a mass spike in cases from Saturday given that people won't be wearing masks between their table and the dunnies in pubs and restaurants.

Numerous countries in Europe have dropped all restrictions… and cases are still dropping. Nothing to see here.

Restrictions ease and you're still whinging about it lol.

Lucky we're waiting till Friday, must be the science. Imagine the thousands of deaths there'd be if the mask mandate was changed changed tonight. 🙄

Yeah, why announce a change in settings ahead of time.

You lot are ridiculous.
how dare they give people and businesses time to plan ahead
the nerve of it

But if they announced the change as being immediate, it would be a "backflip", evidence of policy on the run or poor planning.

We'd have quotes from (definitely not local liberal branch member) small business owners complaining about confusion and poor communication plastered all over the Herald Sun. A few choice soundbites from Guy about how this short notice change in settings typified the "chaos" of the Andrews government's pandemic response.

lmao

its great it doesn't matter what the government says or does the same group of posters come in bleating about the same non scientific crap they have for the past several years all while claiming they follow the science

it's almost like its actually got nothing to do with the measures or the science

can't for the life of me think what the alternative is though

unless its just plain old whinging for the sake of it

It's definitely just whinging for the sake of it.

Every jurisdiction across Australia has an almost uniform process for announcing easing of restrictions.

If procedural nitpicking is all they've got left to complain about, the state government is doing alright.

Laugh Laughing GIF

Victoria has been fortunate.
How so? Australia has been fortunate compared to most other countries in terms of how Covid has affected us. Do you think Victoria has been more fortunate than the rest of the country?

Lol, he announced removal of density limits with just one day's notice, but masks needs 3 days.
Sorry, forgot all his policies are perfect in your eyes. Back to your electoral office roll simp.

I would have thought businesses would have benefited from more notice about density limits and dance floors opening than mask removals. 🙄

It's not a whinge, just pointing out the continuing ridiculousness of his policies throughout his shambolic handling of this.

So businesses needed more time to plan for mask removals than density limit removals? Interesting take.
I haven't bothered finding and reading what the justification is, but why does it take 3 days to introduce the new mask rules?

nah my take is just that you're looking for things to complain about
