CFA new Volunteers were at an all-time high pre-COVID, but COVID meant training stopped (I was enrolled and had begun training which then ceased).

So it's not "since the UFU fight started", because volunteers were up post-UFU, it was because of COVID that volunteers couldn't complete training and there's now a back-log.

But whatever suits your narrative.

As for the accreditation, it might help CFA Volunteers who want to take the step up towards FRV. Should be Govt funded, not privately run. Training for fire-fighting should always be publicly governed and run.
Wait are they actually trying to reboot the "CFA scandal".

lmao

Rock bottom.

One way it may govern responsibly is for the Victorian government to improve the regulatory framework of key industries to facilitate efficiency and quality outcomes more effectively. That's what Kennett and the late Robert Maclellan did with a closely related sector back in 1992-1993.

This mob is alert to the need to reform the planning system and reduce red tape; they've declared improvements in that sector could save Victorians millions on an ongoing basis. Yet, they're making action conditional on getting something in return, as if they're otherwise not morally obligated to govern effectively. They're a strange bunch.

kinda like the preacher man dangling a beefed up fed icac model (the helen haines proposal) to convince wavering lnp members to vote for the religious discrimination bill

Only two doses required to get into the footy

Actually don't mind him. He's much more positive than some of the douchebags who are from the liberal party.

Yeah that will change soon. They put that in there now but it's going to change pretty soon.

Still doesn’t make much sense to me. It’ll be three doses for Australians to enter and two for some overseas travellers??… or travellers won’t be able to go anywhere in Australia if not triple jabbed??… it’s very confusing.

Andrew’s was correct in saying it makes no sense and he cannot create rules for some and different rules for others.. so what’s the plan?

They go by the State Government's ruling on Pandemics and other events.
Hence why when we went into lockdown there was no crowds allowed at the footy.
Rules on vaccinations are followed. Just like all the sectors that employ people. You can only go in when you're triple vaxxed.
Even all unis and tafes you might attend will have all sorts of things regarding covid 19.

It’s pretty simple - there’s two options:

1) mandate the booster for everyone, meaning anyone coming into Australia or anyone who hasn’t had their booster (third) cannot enter hospitality and sporting events etc

OR

2) It’s just a blanket rule of two vaccinations for anyone to enter.

There’s no inbetween.

Is that a fair call?

They have actually put it as a rule of thumb that you're to have 3 covid vaccinations.

I’m not so sure about that mate.. please see links below.
Seems like we are for staff and workers but not for all patrons (yet?)..

There is genuine confusion around that at present. Perhaps they are still working on it?

Some people from other countries haven’t even had access to a booster yet, so how can they be expected to travel to Australia and not be allowed into any venues? Unless we flat out tell them, they can come, but cannot enter any venues?

If that’s the case and the blanket rule is three, do we warn all travellers before they come then?

Given international arrivals only need two it makes logical sense.
Can't have situations where they can only do some stuff.

Seems like we’re going to keep it at two (for now) but staff / workers in the venue need three?

But yeah as per my posts above, we need to pick one and make it official do we not? Unless we already have?

Its as simple as crossing the road, always look or you choose to roll the dice, & hope the ambo's & ED's have time for you.
Ah, hang out I'm on a break ... chill.

I’m assuming you’d prefer it to be three mate? I don’t really have an opinion either way, other than it needs to be the same blanket rule for everyone, including overseas travellers.

Are DA’s hands tied now that travellers are coming in with two? (Due to feds decision)

The lowest common denominator at work.
