Gotta love Australia, Pat Cummins can't have a say about who sponsors the side he leads but Twiggy Forrest gets an opinion on absolutely everything.Suss

The review was conducted by people not connected to the Government, so it is clearly independent. How is that "independent"?
The Ramsay Foundation is a well-known right-wing front in the culture wars against human progressThe review was conducted by people not connected to the Government, so it is clearly independent.
However, Independent is not a synonym for "unbiased" or "qualified to express an opinion".

There wasn't a single medical, epidemiological or scientific expert from a relevant field on the panel. The review was conducted by people not connected to the Government, so it is clearly independent.

Thanks for posting that as it answered my question, I was thinking the other day what are the requirements for the government to spend the hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars they’ll need to spend throughout the caretaker period responding to the flood crisis as this will continue well beyond the election.
Seems reading that it’s more convention than any actual rules in place so shouldn’t be any issues.
Tbf I got an email for work which started “as government enters caretaker mode… ensure you do not say anything that implies <employer> endorses either party”Umm--- no it's not. the Government is still governing until the 1st November.
