Looked alright today, used the footy well and played a good game for us coming on early as the sub.

Needs a little more composure when he has the footy but that;ll happen when you play one game at AFL level in about 2 years.

19 disposals (7 kicks and 12 handballs). That last kick to Kep to set up Mzungu's goal was superb. Thought his composure improved as the game went on. Perfect candidate for the sub?

First game for a while in the big time and looked ok to me. I was pleasantly surprised.

He did some alright things. A pretty good game to both test himself, and assert his presence.

His kicking skills have always been questionable but I reckon he definitely ensured himself a spot next week. Hopefully Harv's persists with him.

 

[Taylor]

He gave a couple of hand passes off to guys standing flat footed and about to be tackled, but I found myself more confident in Hinkley kicking than Fyfe. Credit to Fyfe though, he was kicking the ball with a player hanging off of him.

Definitely deserves another game.

Fyfe looks tired... a lot of the guys look really tired before the bouncedown.

His kicking was surprisingly good today. Apart from 2 hospital handpasses he had a pretty good game I thought.

Hinkley does better when he has less time to think. The higher tempo suits him!

Still looks a bit panicky when he gets the ball - and that's pretty much the number 1 thing I look for when assessing the class of a player.

Having said that he played his role well today. The problem as I see it is he's one of those guys who only needs to be slightly off his game to become a liability.

Always thought he was ok. Looks like he might have an opportunity with Mundy going down. Still looks a bit weedy though.

It's a confidence thing with him. He started very jittery giving off 4 handballs to players that were in worse positions to him, but as the game went on he improved and started to use his pace then look to give it off rather than the opposite.

As stated by Taylor and Outshined, the kick to Kep in the last was very good, and his disposal overall was better than Fyfe's by a mile.

I think he should be selected for next week but used as sub again.

Why can't Rhys do what Chinks has just served up today.
Quick movement mixed into some serviceable delivery with a tad of posie when needed.

Earnt his spot today. He has done no harm to keep his spot on our list next year.

He's not a dud kick when he has a touch of time - after a few dodgy handballs I was hoping he would kick it more.

Must have been very hard for him to come on half-way through the first quarter after Mundy went down - big shoes to fill

Not only that but to replace Barlow (who was probably going to be the sub) gave him even bigger shoes to fill

I tip my hat to him - if he continues on he'll get an extension

Gave far more than Palmer would have given us a sub

His decision making is still suspect but used the ball well by foot and his pressure was good too. Certainly deserves a run next week but possibly as sub again.

How did Palmer go in the WAFL? If Ballantyne misses aswell as Mundy will be interesting to see if Rhys gets a run.
