Pune was a pile of lifeless crap, that offered far too much to the spinners far too early on. There's no way that Bengaluru escapes the same scrutiny. A cracked pitch from day one, offering huge variable bounce for the pace bowlers as well as ridiculous turn for the spinners. The patches of green all over the pitch, in and around the cracks are disgraceful.

I hope that the BCCI are heavily punished for the garbage they've served up.

Indian pitches are always cracked from Day 1. India is a country on a lot of clay, so the moisture is soaked up by the clay and expands. When the moisture disappears the clay contracts significantly and causes cracking. The cracks are not the same as cracks you get on Australian pitches. The patches of green around the cracks are to help keep them together and prevent the pitch from falling apart early on.

That's all well and good, but it doesn't excuse the terrible quality of the pitches thus far. India haven't even completed 3 consecutive sessions when batting.

Winning test matches with first innings total of 240 is terrible. India haven't even surpassed 200 yet.

This match should go to day 4 at least.

You mean like in Perth this summer where SA made 240 batting first and won?

You clearly didn't read a thing I wrote so just go on as you are

You're saying that this pile of puss pitch is fine. It would be utterly shamed in every other nation.

A team is 2-106 and the perpetual sooks on here are carrying on like it's the apocalypse. Go and watch some f***ing T20 if you don't like a bit of graft.

''Winning test matches with first innings totals of 240 is terrible.'

You've gone pretty quiet on that one I noticed.
