Multiplat Injustice 2

Story mode is good fun, and it seems I am picking up items for the characters as I play through which will be nice.
I've decided to focus on story for now so i can get those unique items plus it's a way to use characters I wouldn't otherwise try in the other modes.

Finished story quite enjoyed it! Hitting Multiverse mode with Harley Quinn, want to get her to 20 first.

We should look at making a BF guild. I would have no idea where to start with it though.

Guild bosses are no joke. they all have like 8K health and deal extra damage on combos. only have the 1 health bad but are just OP.

They make normal Multiverse bosses seem kind.

I have a few characters at 20. Green Arrow is my main right now, but if i come up against someone who rushes and just has fast combos like Aquaman i struggle and sometimes quit.

Yeah I had a MK Shao Kahn moment with Atrocitus in a Guild Multiverse challenge last night, couldn't beat him because he kept spamming two moves constantly. I tried my main (Superman who is on level 20) and other characters I'm fairly decent at, still had no luck. I even tried being the same character and spamming the two same moves against him..........didn't work. He wasn't even a proper boss so it technically doesn't count with the above discussion, but just cheap and difficult AI. I had already navigated past a few other difficult characters in the same challenge (for some reason I just can't beat Catwoman as Superman no matter the level the character is on).

I've beaten Darkseid and Superman as boss fights in Multiverse mode the past couple of nights.

I've since read that Cyborg is one character that can spam moves and have some decent success with just that tactic, yet to see it in practice though.

How does the guild stuff work? Do we all need to be playing on the same platform (I'm on Xbox)

Really liking the game so far too. There's always a new challenge or something about to be levelled up or unlocked; really having a hard time putting it down.

Almost 144 hours of game time and the game has been out for 19-ish days............... by comparison
It normally takes 1-3 months to get to 90-180 hours in FIFA!

The game has been addictive, it's starting to wear a little thin (seeing the same events pop up in Multiverse will do that).

Has anyone got all the character endings yet?

I think I'm about half way there.

For anyone with the DLC for Power Girl, Reverse Flash and John Stewart (plus I think you can buy Mr Freeze as a skin for Captain Cold) - do they have their own endings too?

I've done every characters super finish, yet to do every character ending in the Multiverse/Arcade battle mode. That's an interesting question though, I'm assuming that they're just reskins (minor changes in dialog eg: announcer calls out their new name instead of the default), endings may remain the same.

I purchased the Mr Freeze and Vixen skins with the crystals last night. I made an Alternate Flash and Power Girl load out for Flash and Supergirl a few weeks back.

Yeah I was thinking the same (given they are just skins of other characters) but would be cool if they had their own endings too. Do the DLC characters/purchasable skins have unique super moves?

No they're basically just reskinned characters, with the same move sets (that I have noticed). There are dialog changes between the characters (the character quips before fights start), had seen the Mr Freeze ones previously.

Red Hood dlc confirmed for June 13 release (possibly 14th in aus)
Also confirmed that there is going to be more shaders for each character, specific rewards for multiverse wins

Could be a glitch but I have seen the 'Red Hood available now' banner on the home screen the last 2 nights. Though when you click to buy - you get an error message.

It's been like that since their update patch came out. Looking forward to trying him out.

Schooling a few people as Superman while playing online (also getting my fair share of wallopings haha). I'm 11 wins 6 losses in ranked fights. Had a guy just spam Darkseid's beams at me (or do the stomp move after teleporting behind me). I worked his strategy out after being belted around for a bit, countered it with ducking the beams, and jumping out of the way when he would teleport. He kept spamming the same moves, so I resorted to spamming the same move 3 times to finish him off :D.

Close to getting a few other characters to level 20 (Brainiac is on 19, Firestorm is 16, Joker on 17). I'm trying to vary character use as I can't rely on Superman 99% of the time. I figure playing a different character every so often changes things up, helps me learn them more and I don't get bored of the same routine. I know other people on different forums just spend a few hours leveling a single character up to 20 then move on.

NRS released a quick statement saying that they updated the game to avoid needing another update when it's released (stops the several he download like when the game came out)

When you defeat the secret boss in multiverse (comes up as an anomaly), it is so satisfying, particularly when you are supergirl, up against the fully powered green lantern (supergirl is super weak against GL - not just in the game, but also in the comic books)

Red Hood is pretty good pretty pretty pretty good.

Could almost say the way he fights is delicious!
I'm not as sure. His combos are extremely hard to time, and it's a little frustrating (a bit like the first game). On the flip side, the meter burn moves are more effective than other characters, as is the supermove

I don't really pull off many combos in fighting games anyway, so he does me fine :D. My "ability" focused Superman can wipe off health pretty quickly with a few special moves in a row. The Super move itself commonly wipes away 50% of my opponents health (particularly if they defence and health stats are low!).

True that a good character can do damage anyway, however, particularly against the bosses, a good combo is worth a bunch

Is this worth the $30 Harvey Norman want for it?

My view it's an absolute steal at that price!! Especially if it includes Darkseid as DLC :)

Opinion may vary, it depends on how much of a fan of fighting games you are. I have loved my fighting games over the years, could play them for hours on end (from MK to SF to Tekken and VF in later years). Something had happened over the last 10 years (pretty much since SF IV's release) where I would only be able to play SF IV, Tekken 6, VF 5 etc for 20-30 minute bursts before needing a break (be it from boredom or the fact my wrists would get sore).

*edit* So even though I've not been able to stand playing fighting games for 20-30 minute periods each session...... with Injustice 2, I could play it for hours and not get bored.......... Played it daily for a very long time, when AFL Evolution came out weeks later in May, I had to split the time up a bit more. I have slowed down considerably over the last (almost) 2 months. I have had a wonky thumb since early July which makes playing fighting games almost impossible (I should let it heal properly by playing NO games at all, but I can't help myself lol). I had a go at it for the first time in a while last weekend, still a beast as Superman :D. My current game time average is about 3 hours per day (it will keep going down since I've barely been on the Xbox) during May it was much much higher!

I'm a huge DC fan (added bonus) and it plays like Mortal Kombat (another added bonus!!), it's easily one of my GOTY (keep in mind I love AFL Evolution and class that game as GOTY as well... more than the "single player" based story games I've played over the last 12 months).

Story mode is pretty good
Multiplayer is fun - plus the Multiverse mode (like the Krypt in MK).

For $30 it's worth it, but it might have a few short comings to some people (re: if you don't play online often ORRR the community eventually dies off, the game might not be as appealing).

Very good buy for that price IMO. Had more fun with Injustice 2 than I did with Tekken 7.
