Who? Gotta wonder since the country has become Germany's bitch, can they afford to come over this year?
How can you not remember the mighty, imposing Gooch! A bastard cross of the pasty, sick kid from the Simpsons and Fry from Futurama. Supposedly he is like Ireland's Dermott, Campbell Brown or Barry Hall. In reality he is more like Edward Furlong's whiny John Connor to Arnold's Terminator.

Tremble at the feet of the gargantuan Gooch!!!

You mate not we.....you don't speak for everyone least of all meIt's over here this time round (Etihad & Metricon).
Also, that poll the guy above posted pretty much sums up how we feel.

What is the likely crowd this Friday night at Docklands?
The games are being televised on Channel 10 - first test is on at 8:30pm Friday night.
I wonder if 10 have any AFL commentators still contracted to the station - otherwise we may end up with Steve Carfino![]()

Look on the positives; it's better than cricket, rugby, (I'd mention soccer but that's too easy a claim)
Feckin' whingers. It's still amazing after all these years how many Aussie fans take the time to come on here and post detailed reasons why they dont care about the IR Series. Some of you guys need to get a real job.
Regarding the IR Series, no one ever claims that either team is the best of their own code, or that the game is anything but a bastardised version of their own. But the fact remains it's the only International Outlet for two sports that are fiercely popular in their own countries but hardly recognised beyond their borders.
Just wondering. Why is it we have to play their sport ?
Why not switch it up, if we have to play a game they have done for all their life than surely every second year they should verse us in AFL ?
Would attract more people to games IMO.

We'll save the traditional baiting of Amateur teachers/plumbers/sales-reps/etc vs Professional Nancy-Boys/Bondi-Blokes/Outback-Ogres/etc until after we've stuffed you in the first Test. Then you can go crying to Queen Lizzie for comfort seeing as she is "down-under" at the moment. Hey - there's a thought, someone should invite Liz to the game so she can help inspire your poor team that so many of you seem to take great pleasure in running down so much.

It's not the only outlet, but the only one at an elite level.
For IR here's the latest addition.

There are numerous examples of an IR bringing AFL and GAA communities together. A lot ilke Vancouver, have turned into annual pre-season(or post season) events. AR has gained from these contests overseas recruiting new players either from the publicity or deflections. Women's football in Sydney gained a Gaelic team in their league. The hiatus inIR at the international level has had no impact at grassroots.
I really want it to work but last year I nearly cried in croke park.
So why are you here ?
