He CHEATED the system and as a result of getting caught he stuffed up the recruitment of future players and cost us the lack of compensation for atguably one of our most important players.

If any one of us ****ed up like this at our workplace, we'd be in the queue at centrelink. Regardless of our very ordinary start to the year he shoukd have been turfed when the penalties were handed down at the absolute latest.

I think the Tippett mess coupled with that Prelim final is a big part of where we are at the moment, not so sure that the team has dealt with that loss too well.. Confidence has been shot to pieces this year..

And this could easily lead us to 8 or 9 losses and that could lead us to missing the finals, resulting in a low draft pick? Normally, this wouldn't be so bad as you get a high draft pick and a bad year can be turned around quickly and lead to some motivation.

I wonder how Brenton Sanderson will respond to Steven Trigg next time he sees him knowing he was a primary player in the issue and how much harder he has made his job.

Our list would look remarkably better with 2 or 3 more top 15 picks running around.

The club had just come off a successful season, everyone was in feel good mode. Pick 21 whilst painful is a hit and miss pick. But if we have a bad season, supporters are going to be venting. Then when reality sets in that we've given up two quality picks, supporters will be spewing. His presence will make it worse. I think the pressure will be so great he has to go.

Exactly and in response to Alex's post. I feel sorry for Sando he's trying to achieve something with one hand tied behind his back. This is his career, he might only get one shot at it.

Yeah Trigg's incompetence is only jeopardising the club's premiership chances over the next five years through:
1) Getting no compensation for Tippett and not trading him the year previous when it was blindingly obvious he wanted out.
2) Missing out on what is increasingly looking like a good top-10 pick and a pick in the 20s. Picks which could have set us up for a tilt at the flag.

But no, us supporters should just get over all of that and put up with continuing to be "also-rans".

Those lost draft picks are going to really hurt us but what worries me more is "More of the same"!
Port are having the most tremendous free ride in the media, their results, Koch's national presence and the Advertiser mouthpiece being a unofficial promotions officer for the club will bite us hard. Just because traditionally we have had the majority of the supporters doesn't mean the next generation of kids will think that way.

You must continually be on the mountain tops spruiking our team but not a word!!!!
Why because Trigg isn't allowed near the club or to represent the club for a few months yet. Chapman for all the praise he receives is an ineffectual chairman.No other organisation would have allowed a CEO to remain in those circumstances.
Then there's the future... every time Trigg speaks it will be as 'tainted goods' whether you like the man or not he is the face of the club and that will be the perception. Nothing he says will ever carry any real weight or conviction because of his 'conviction'. Harper has exactly the same baggage.
Trigg hasn't done anything wrong in terms of a crime and he is most probably a nice bloke but it's the business their in. This board has set us up for a fall. A major clean out should have happened and in the public's eye the club should have started with a clean sheet.
Publicity is everything in this business, it sells memberships and sponsorships and it is amazing how quickly public perception or sentiment can change. We are in competition with the Power in this state and right now they are firing on all cylinders while we are as quiet as a church mouse. It's ridiculous to assume that this won't have an effect on future happenings at the club.

All the same administration players are in place and if anyone truly thinks they have done a superb job of leading this club in the last few years then we aren't on the same page. Change or wither on the vine, I for one are a little worried.
