I think it's pretty widely acknowledged that Cotchin could be a superstar, who knows, but at least he plays a critical position on the ground.

I saw him win the centre clearance out of the bounce 4 times in a row against the Dons and I saw him murder Didak while taking courageous marks in the back 50 last week

Sylvia and Davey better than any of our mids? No chance.

Sylvia is unproven. Played a couple of good games last year but is lazy and inconsistent. Has potential to be a very good mid but I can't see him being anything more than a Medhurst/B Johnson type.

Davey is a flanker. Plays best in defence, that can't be disputed. Invaluable kicking off half back. Gun. Not a gun midfielder though.

Deledio is better than both in the midfield. Most would agree. No point arguing this with W=L because he has deluded opinion in Sylvia.

Foley is a better mid than both.

I'd have Cotchin as well but alot of that is determined on potential as Davey and Sylvia have more runs on the board.

You do understand its not just because they are richmond player they lose, its actually because they are just not that good.

You and your richmond mates back on the home board can pull your plonkers all you like in reality they are no good. There is a very good reason why you've had two 10 goal beltings and are heading for your third this week.

Very difficult to spilt Cotchin and Grimes, two extremely talented kids who'll play 200+ games for each club if they're lucky with injuries.
Cotchin will probably end up playing forward of the centre more where his finishing off skills will hurt the opposition while I like Grimes in the back half where his great decision making and skills will set up attacking moves.

The difference between the two clubs is that Cotchin and MArtin are it for yooung talent at the tigers. Melbourne have a heap of other options, several will be better than either of these two.
