Looking forward to the Melbourne v Adelaide encounter this year. Think some infractions will be given out. Gold Coast v Geelong will be another good one.

You keep saying that like I care. I don't care how you're pretending to have spoken to him, even though he doesn't know you and you wouldn't expect him to know you and of course your not friends but he told you intimate details.
Lol.
He was there for 3 years and played 56 games.
Why don't you list all of the players that have left the club that drafted them to go home after 3-4 years ? Lever is hardly an outlier.
I'll start. Scott Thompson, who left the Melbourne Football Club for the Adelaide Football Club after 4 years and 39 games.
Hold the mayo pls.orchestrating a campaign of lies and deception.

Yes also known as the 'orchestrated campaign of lies and deception'.I'm still struggling with what part of Lever's departure was inappropriate. The only one I can think of is him saying he'll stick around?

Dave can probably tell you why.But you do care, otherwise, why do you keep responding to my so-called shit.
So with that, I will bid you Adieu. Have a Nice Day
Didn’t you get 2 first rd draft picks for him?Yep. I think if they need to go home (for whatever reason) a request for a trade to the home State can be made, but the originating Club HAS to be able to negotiate the best outcome for both of them. Saying you'll only go to THIS club is pretty much crippling to the original club and, also gives the player Free Agency benefits when they haven't earned them.

It sounds like his major motivator was friends and family. The money would definitely be appealing, but would quickly make him unpopular at MFC.
95% of shit said to the media by players is to satiate the quick fix needs of dickheads who obsess far too much about this rubbish. If Lever said he was leaving before the finals, people would have criticized the shit out of him for it.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

None of that, even if true, could be described as an 'orchestrated campaign of lies and deception'. You've poured half a gallon of mayo on it because you're upset.Refer to my post above. It was orchestrated. I don't blame Jake for this, but I do blame his manager and his father for the way they played it.
Yet here you are making frankly silly claims about what happened.Time to move on.
Those are his worst offences?Lying about meeting with Melbourne during the season, then promptly withdrawing from the radio spot so he didn't incriminate himself any further.
Family never mentioned until the heat was put on him by media about re-signing.
His father making public statements about it being unfair to Jake to not let him go.
His manager doing the same thing publicly.
As I said, I have no problem with him going, just the manner he went. He's a very good player and I hope he goes well, but also hope he learns from it.

Maybe if Adelaide fixed their culture up the would be able to keep their star players

These guys are placed in a situation where fan’s expectations of virtue are almost impossible to meet. I see nothing wrong with what you’ve described considering the pressure from all corners placed upon good players coming out of contract.Pretty ordinary behaviour. I doubt you guys would view it so favourably if it was one of yours. Not hanging offences, just an explanation of why he won't be remembered in a good light over here. Maybe he doesn't care, who knows.
Now it all makes sense why the Dees are paying the big bucks - they think they are getting Matt Crouch, who actually performed when it mattered.Lever was an undisciplined pile of shit in the GF. Not sure which game you watched.
Lol, a Melbourne supporter having a crack about Adelaide's culture is rich... & I could understand if you were a Hawks or Cats supporters... but the team who allegedly didn't tank for picks & were a basketcase for how long. Just lol...Maybe if Adelaide fixed their culture up the would be able to keep their star players
I don't think we'll be taking culture lessons from a club whose players knifed their coach in the back so they didn't have to train hard.
Yes our club is so poor, we managed to play in a grand final... whilst your players when they had a great opportunity to make the finals for the 1st time in a bloody long time froze against the Pies.Dangerfield, Lever, Cameron, Tippett, Davis and very shortly Sloane.
They are lining up to get out of that trash cultured club
