The guy won two flags with active positive contributions in each of them. I reckon 17 other teams' would love to have had his career especially if he was as shit and slow as being made out. To then have a ping at him after he is on his way down / out is odd.

Weird almost vindictive bump.

On the lookout for a 4th club come end of season I reckon.
Is contracted for next year, but wouldn’t be shocked if he is on the trade table
Could see him heading back to the Gold Coast

You would have won that 17 flag without Caddy, and without Parfitt.
Could see it when you smashed teams at the end of the 17 season.
Caddy would have been selected 21, 22, but good luck to him. He has made the most of his opportunities and landed in a possible GOAT team.
Without Caddy we had Jack Riewoldt as our sole forward. Townsend was our other 'tall' forward in the finals series. Caddy was the third. We would have struggled without him. 2018 showed how valuable he was in that position. Then along comes Lynch, career pretty much over.

Strong chance he is out the door sooner rather than later, but he goes with two flags, life membership and the Richmond army loving him.

Came to the club unexpectedly after a Geelong trying to shop him for Brett Deledio fell through. He was identified as a type of player that was required, didn’t cost us much draft wise and was possibly the best player at his salary available. Did pick up dual premiership players Shai Bolton and Jack Graham in that draft too.

Squeezed out now, but that’s football.

He's still in a lot of clubs best 18-25 players right, the question is does that get him a gig elsewhere?

There are worse depth players on AFL lists, but at his age and on the decline, I feel for him.

He's a class above state leagues though, regularly dominates when he goes there.

Lol wtf? He’s very ordinary. Don’t rate him at all. He’s an overweight VFL player who might play 1 or 2 good games a year at AFL level.

Richmond supporters know full well he is a battler, but they have spent years building him up on here from a meme that they now have to pretend he is actually good.

We don't have to pretend. Just ignore them.

Had alotve injuries but for a bloke who most think is average has played finals nearly every year of his career, two flags, rising star nominee and over 170
games not bad.
Reckon him and Parfitt would be alright with the trade and there’s no doubt Parfitt will be better for longer.
However, the interesting question is
What if we had have had Parfitt and you had Caddy...would you maybe have won a flag?
Hmmm
Dunno, maybe.
I don’t really care

Yeah, no. Caddy is not and never will be the difference.

Perhaps he wasn’t, I’m not gonne be definitive about something that didnt happen.
Wasn’t alot between the two teams and at the end of the day if it was about making room for GAJ to come back you’d take ablett over Caddy seven days a week.
I like Caddy looks like a bogan from Frankston, goes alright for a plonker.

Yes I could never imagine that happening.

Just noticed how bad he is, searched for Caddy threads.
Well he had the worst game I have ever seen him play just about against WC, so no he is not that bad. His normally clean skills were very poor. The week before he had 24 possessions and played pretty well.

He has been in and out of the side for a few years not due to him being a poor player, but because he is to slow to play AFL football these days. In his day Caddy would have been one of the first players at Richmond you would want the ball in their hands, had a shocker, it happens to all class players.

His 2018 season has to be one of the most utterly bizarre ever.

At the midpoint of the H&A he was an AA certainty and legitimate potential Colemanist with a probable B&F podium finish but a few weeks later he was playing as poorly as you can without getting dropped.

He pulled an Adrian McAdam but instead of the entire year it was just the first half of the season. I’d love to see his B&F votes for the first half of that year versus the second half. I can totally see a young player doing this but I can’t recall a more unbalanced output from an established player; outside of those dudes who are obviously playing injured.
