demo is an alright taste of the game but it kinda of jumps straight into the action and does not allow u to acclimatise to the controls or pacing so the full game will probably do this better
 
That's the first level in the game, you DO jump straight into the action.

When I played it at eGames, you keep going past the point where it stops in the demo and you have to turn this wheel. When I turned it my team mate got stuck on the other side of the area where the Helghast was and he started floating. Haha, funny glitch that has been fixed.

Yeah controls will take some getting used to - multiplayer is going to be much more tactical than most FPS titles now I think.

Can't send you a clan invite on R2, you need to ask to join. They still havn't fixed that error which they said they would in the patch.
 
Wow if camo is true in that its an early build, its even more impressive.
I wouldn't say it's an 'early build' but to give you a true implication of where this demo might have been at, GG were still working on the game right up until last month, they even sent out a second review disc to fix up some things about the first review copy that was sent out, from what I have heard, this demo is likely to be a few months old.
So, what are the controls like guys?

The main complaint I'm hearing from people after they've played the demo is that the controls are pretty sluggish.
It really depends on what you use, Alt 2 is fine, the only issue is the cover button cramping your hand a bit because it is located right below the aim button and it is a bit awkward, apart from that they are fine, takes a little while to get used to, but starts to feel right towards the end of the demo.

They aren't going to put out something that's noticeably inferior to the released game. They're trying to wow people, not turn them off.

Last night it was posted that Europe had 1.1 million pre orders going. Worldwide at the moment there's something like 3.5 million pre orders at this stage.

It's not noticeably different to the average joe(Nit pickers maybe), it certainly does enough to wow people, but the demo is not the finished version of the game.

But yes, the game is finished, but was being worked on still up until a few weeks ago.
 
The tutorial is in the level, that's all the button prompts appearing on the screen, it's not a proper training level type tutorial, but that's what they meant.

In this demo we also did not add the section that comes before this where a player would naturally climatize to the controls and have simply dumped you on Corinth River, so I think a lot of these complaints will be negated by the players natural progression through the full game.

I don't think that is really saying there would've been a tutorial level though, might have just been a level that didn't just throw you into the action though.

Incorrect. Most demos, including Killzone 2 are from old builds.
The Killzone 2 demo is from 2008, and GG have made changes to the game's engine up until 2009.

I remember reading that the MotorStorm 2 demo was over 6 months old.

Funny that you quoted that bit. I still stand by the statement.

I doubt it will be noticeably better in the true game
