May not get massive kudos tonight from some but I thought he stood up on many occasions when we were under siege early and then in the second half comeback.

The 2 goals were more obvious but I thought he took a few grabs when we needed someone to take a grab. He really has strong hands when he has the front position and rarely drops marks you need and expect him to take.

Keep it up Leroy and you will have cemented a finals berth:thumbsu:

Does what he has to, good to see him getting into some top form - always gives his 100% effort.

Ever since his come back from the seconds he has been fantastic, if he keeps this form up he will definately be playing come finals time.

I actually wont mind seeing him kick for the GF win after the siren. Has turned it around. How good was the running goal on the left?

Every time I mention how good he has been I get called a club plant.

Regardless, doing his thing, brilliant goal on the run, oh and we he gets you in a tackle he gets you

That last goal was brilliant stuff, even though all Leeroy had to do was finish Wellinghams great work off.

He doesn't miss too often now (although the one before 3/4 times was "dodgy").

What I have noticed since the Sydney game is Leeroy is now marking the ball stronger then what he ever has in his time with us.

Can't be dropped on current form, and we actually need his physicality against the 2 top sides.

Leigh was never really a bad player before he came to Collingwood, i have seen him kick bags for North a fair few times including 6 in one game, he just had a shocking start with us last year and now he is doing whats asked from him i am very happy with his preasure inside 50 and he is kicking goals for us now. Great Stuff Leigh!

His 1st goal into the wind in the 3rd quarter, I think to level things up with a few minutes to go was crucial.

Gave us the momentum going into the last.

His 2nd running goal on the left was exquisite. Dids would have been proud of that effort.

Misses a heap of shots on goal, but every time he gets a chance that we really need him to convert, he nails it.

Playing his part for the team atm and the combo of Jolly/Brown is working.

Little weed?

He's fired us up more than once this year. What would we do without him if Cloke and Jack both go?

Jolly/Brown is definitely working well for us. I actually don't think he's doing terribly bad in the ruck either (obviously I wouldnt want him as a primary ruck, but for 10% of the ruck duties, I'll take it). Thought he was good when the rest of the team werent, which is usually the case with big Leroy.

And just because everyone should watch this as often as possible:

agree - Leroy is one of those anonymous 'role' players that all good sides need, just like Corey Enright, Michael Osborne, James Gwilt.

the only caution is that we don't think he is better than he is. Leroy is not a CHF, he's not even a good 2nd ruck. but his value is helping others more talented than him play with more freedom.

Plus, he is really durable. I can't recall him from his Freo/North days ever being injured for too long. That's a big plus for MM's list management

Leroy has been fantastic this year.

Mainly cos he gives you 100%...never seen him duck his responsibilities in the team, whether he's second rucking, forward or back.

His physical strength is also very important.

Easily best 22 with his commitment, presence and versatility. :thumbsu:

Becoming a very important player. Cant say too much negative about him this year unlike last year, when I felt he was a list clogger and not contributing too much except for the occasional cameo role.

Ah no.

Enright is an under recognised gun, not a bit player or a role player.

So you were wrong

So you were wrong

He was a list clogger last year, especially in the first half of the year. To be fair though, that was partly the coaching staff's fault for trying to play him as a backman, where he's awful.

Credit to him for being serviceable ever since we figured out he was a forward.

List clogger is a term that shits me, cook offers nothing AFL he us a list clogger, Leroy adds serviceable depth in half a dozen positions that's not a list clogger.

Calling him a list clogger has always been the incorrect label
