Rushed Balla's back early once and it bit us in the arse.
Hammies take time.
This sort of selection policy is really pissing me off. Walters and Palmer are so much more damaging to oppoisition teams than guys like Mellington, Clarke, Crighton, Can Berlo, Hinkley etc.
It's just staggering that they can't get a game atm.
Are you referring to the Carlton game last year when he was rushed back from a hammy and then broke his foot?

The Dockers are hopeful of having utility Adam McPhee and defender Nick Suban available after the bye. McPhee (knee) has not played since round eight, while Suban fractured his leg in round four.

But if they have a poor attitude around the club surely it's beneficial longterm with so many young blokes on the list to leave them in the WAFL?
Maybe but that's a pretty big if. I can't speculate on what's going on inside the club but to me it seems that Harvey likes to hold a grudge. Palmer has been in Harvey's bad books since had a shocking turnover, in the Fremantle B Team v Hawks game last year. He's had it in for Walters since he spoiled Pav's goal against Geelong earlier this year. Yeah both player have faults in their games (as do most players) but I'd rather he developed them by helping them get the most out of their strengths rather than try make them into something they're not.
Yeah, agree with malpaso and BananaOnTheRun. Palmer fell out of favour in a big way in that game, for exactly the reasons specified by BananaOnTheRun. North didn't look back after that attempted switch from Palmer.
However, I would be surprised if those reasons were held into a new season.
Besides what's the matter with a team that can't absorb one mistake even if it is a big one. Surely the team should have just sucked it up and moved on to winning the next contest. Psychologically soft, all too hard, unless it's easy they don't want to know about it. Is this the team that is supposed to be in a premiership window. What a joke.
I agree with the general premise, but in the context of the match it was a huge mistake. A lot of work was done to pare back the margin, and a simple execution error gave the ball to North. I think they won the next centre clearance, and that was it.Besides what's the matter with a team that can't absorb one mistake even if it is a big one. I remember that game. IIRC, we were behind but had momentum and were making a forward surge. Palmer receives the ball and kicks errantly to a North player and they ended up with a goal. Momentum swung back to them and we didn't get a look in for the rest of it. It's not often you can blame an error affecting an entire game, but that was one.
Bad Brain, you don't want to speculate on what's going on inside the club, but you're happy to speculate on what's going on inside harv's brain?

Then again, if 37 gamer Palmer was going to be singled out in that match, why not 41 gamer Stephen Hill - who not only did bugger all, but let his man rack up 39 possessions.
So there is a fair bit of hypocrisy with the coaching staff about the way players are treated.
That game was very similar to the Melbourne game.
