I like all of you was a little miffed after the Richmond game but lets look at the bigger picture.

- yes we lost but the crows have been up for 3 months a bad game was bound to happen.

- thats just 2 losses for the year and both by under a goal..

- The crows had won every away game untill yesterday - it wasnt that long ago that we lost just about all away games.

- we are in a better position than this time last year.

- just think about the players that will be coming back in - it aint all gloom and doom.

- every loss can be learned from -you can take that from yesterday.

Thats my thoughts - i am not that worried. Dont jump off the team for one loss.

i was guilty of saying we should be 10-1 at the halfway mark....

but if we can win our next 2 at home, we will still be looking good as our run home is great.

every team has a shocker each year, and hopefully this was ours.

i dont think NC will let us lose another one like this and we can learn and move on.

That’s what I have taken out of yesterday game, if Neil Craig can learn from the mistakes made and it makes us a better side it will be worth the loss of 4 points. If the same thing happens and we lose in the same fashion then the loss will come back to haunt us.

I don't think it was so much the loss yesterday but the manner in which it happened.
Craig didn't seem to react at all to the Richmond gameplan. Nothing changed for the entire match.
Richmond were murdered last week, by a team who we are meant to be roughly equal too.
We played horribly, skills were way down on where they should be.

Still, I'm prepared to chalk it all up to a bad day out and hope it never happens again.

Geelong got smashed like night by Collingwood but the week before beat another premiership contender in St Kilda.

As they say, a week is a long time in football.

Do you think NC will come up with a strategy that will counter this tactic what was used so effectively to deny us the ball? I'm pretty sure more teams will employ it now against us.

It's called man-on-man, and not lairising when you have the ball (Burton I'm looking at you).

What a boring game footy. AFL is a disgrace at times, this is why i dont go to AFL games and hardly even watch them on tv unless the Crows are playing. SANFL wins hands down, no flooding and chip chip footy from the great man Jars.

I'll be going down to the Parade as well but dont expect an update from me as i will have downed too many Pale Ales to even tell you who was good for North.

To bad you dont remember what happens in your favourite league. :)

Haha well i do remember we won and it was entertaining, attacking footy! I dont remember much else though... ;)

Hahah, I do agree that SANFL is a great competition. Ill tell you why though why I still watch AFL. For the simple reason that I have followed the Crows since when I was a kid and that is why when you queried earlier why south australians pay for membership to watch AFL, because we are glued to the bloody club. When I watch SANFL or even AFL (other teams) for that matter it just isnt the same, I dont get that same sort of passion or response when I see a goal, a mark, a tackle, a disposal etc. I scream at the telly or at a Crows game, but I dont get as excited when watching a SANFL or other AFL teams. Even my other favourite sport soccer, I dont show the same passion as the Crows, not sure why. Apart from when Australia is qualifying for a world cup of course. Simply I am not gonna abandon the club just because Mr A. D. is ruining the game.

I will tell you Roosterlad

You put your attacking North Adelaide SANFL side up against Port Adelaide Power, Essendon FC or Carlton FC (basically any of the bottom 4 or 5 AFL sides) and you will not play attacking football or even competitive football.

Richmond played that style of football yesterday simply to be competitive and so they wouldn’t get belted, if any SANFL side play any AFL they would not be competitive either. The SANFL have about 5 or 6 side that can compete with each other and the other 3 are going to struggle.

How about getting over this anti AFL if you’re going to post on the Adelaide Forum and accept that is how this competition is played.

Think back a few years to your own glamour side North Adelaide and tell us how attacking they were under Darrel Hart? Over all they were :D:D:D:Ding dreadful simply because you were not competitive with your opponent. Not every SANFL game is a good game; same as the AFL but over it is a much higher standard of competition and winning brings many more rewards than losing, that’s why it is imperative for the AFL side to stay competitive .

Don’t tell me I don’t know what I am talking about because I do, I sat though year of North Adelaide Crap as a mate's dad is a life member and we went religiously week in week out. Maybe under Andrew Jarman you play a different style that does not include the flooding tactics or chipping it around to a free man but that is simply because you have more talent now.

Exactly mate. I'm still amazed, considering our injuries, that we are 6-2, fantastic effort.

However, in saying that we do have some glaring weaknesses that need to be resolved if we are to go all the way:

Ruckman - A lack of a quality around the ground ruckman. Our 2 guys, and especially Clarke, are now being beaten by even average ruckman.

KPP's - Lack of kpp options. Made even worse by the suprisingly terrible form of McGregor. At the moment we only have 2 kpp's holding their head up, Trent and Rutts. We really need to move Biglands permanently to the forward line and reward Maric's great sanfl form by allowing him to share the rucking duties with Clarke. Perrie and Bock are set to comback "mid to late" season. But what about if they don't come back this year? Going into finals with only 2-3 genuine KPP's is fraught with danger, especially if one of them, as Kenny is now, is badly out of form.
