Why did they get this bullshit triangle map of Australia? Its the most wothless graph I've ever seen.
It's an attempt at copying a similar map to what the BBC uses, but by not making it geographic it defeats the purpose of it.

Everyone know it's what they want to do. Privatised medicine is a massive boon for the wealthy.Liberals wanted to privatise the payment system.
This after they already froze rebates.
Complete privatisation is a massive stretch, but the libs did themselves no favours with their recent track record on health
It was technically correct - the Libs had Medicare on the table, along with hundreds of other issues to deal with. They just handled it poorly when the news broke. In reality it was never going to happen as we all know it's electoral suicide.
No. Part of the problem was Turnbull tried to spin it. A taskforce was set up on privatisation and Turnbull said that the proposal never even got to Cabinet, but FOI requests had been rejected by the Coalition with the excuse given that they were 'Cabinet' documents.Sounds like the spin campaign of the century. If they could spin that maybe they'll be able to spin themselves into power.

Even if he secures government the right of the Liberal Party will circle like sharks, waiting for the opportunity to knife him for some Abbott clone.
That's what makes this a bit sad. I like Turnbull as an economic right and social left PM but the party won't allow it if he doesn't have the convincing mandate from tonight.
Yep, the far right of the Liberal party is the real problem. Turnbull has been fighting with one hand tied behind his back. But the left has the same issues with the union movement.Even if he secures government the right of the Liberal Party will circle like sharks, waiting for the opportunity to knife him for some Abbott clone.

Peter Hendy, Wyatt Roy and Fiona Scott all mentioned as key supporters. So he's lost three of his numbers for sure and a whole bunch of the hard-liners who thought Abbott couldn't win will be switching from him.
The Coalition are split from within. Ironically Pauline Hanson started all this, because Howard's dog-whistling has been building the party into this ideological anti-immigration obsessed shambles. Now she's back anyway and the party can't escape the hard-right from making them unelectable.

I haven't watched a lot of 7's coverage tonight, and I'm not a fan of her as a politician.
But I nominate Jackie Lambie as the MVP of tonight's election broadcasts. She's been kind of hilarious![]()
In a thread about the federal election, I'll let you be the judge.
Agree this site is awesome, it's why I keep coming back every day.
It's not geographic or proportional as well. It's an attempt at copying a similar map to what the BBC uses, but by not making it geographic it defeats the purpose of it.
ironic as this might sound it is why I didn't vote Liberal - Turnbull is not secure as PM
Turnbull I don't mind, but couldn't bear another round of Abbott

Im done for if this keeps up.Pray for CakeEater.

I'm watching Le Tour but getting my election updates from Big Footy....what have I become?

So this is your fault?!
I wish Costello was the PM.
