Just re-watched our first half, especially his 9 disposals in the first quarter alone. McVeigh is pure silk. Every disposal is spot-on as he chooses the best option and delivers with precision. He's a mid-fielder yet his goal contribution beats Jesse White. The next minute he's deep down back taking pressure off the defenders. His delivery inside 50 is sweet, his hands are quick and he knows where the goals are.

At his best he's sublime, at his worst he still ranks ahead of many. He may not be an in and under type but in a team of hard driven V8 bangers it's OK to have a Porsche or two.

Whatever Bedders and the goat have against McVeigh it's obviously deeply personal. But then the Goat was also calling for ROK's head last week. Go figure.

I don't think Essendon would ever trade Hurley.I think everyteam would want him cause he will be an absolute star.He is a swingman as well. Players like him don't come along very often.
